Another Cozy Town Omegaverse Romance

This was a really good story. I liked Aspen and was glad to see she was a strong Omega who got away from toxicity and fell into the arms of her boss, and her scent match Alpha Cole. Of course she was dressed in a Santa suit and wearing scent blockers/spray as was he. I particularly enjoyed how he told his mother she was his fiance. That made me laugh. Then to find out she was scent matches with Cole’s brother Jack, and their best friend North as well. What a story with some big parts!

Aspen, Cole, Jack and North becoming a pack was a sweet story. It wasn't easy and they all had their own insecurities, fears and comp!ovations making their story a page turner. This is the first story I've read that was a RH with 2 Omega and 2 Alphas. It waz cute with the Christmas theme. I enjoyed it and really liked the characters. I look forward to reading more from this author.

DNF at just over half

It was an ok story but it just got so boring and predictable. I stopped after the "surprise" reveal because honestly, there wasn't a compelling story to keep it going - the pack was complete they had their HEA and the rest was going to be shoehorned in to fill up pages. Also, I wasn't a fan of biological brothers being in the same pack sharing the same omegas, just found it a bit gross. Siblings sharing partners just isn't my thing.

I just adore Jarica James, her books completely captivate me every single time. Aspen is on the brink of getting married when, just before the “I do’s,” she overhears her pack being unfaithful. Devastated, she flees her own wedding and ends up at a Christmas soirée… wearing a Santa suit. Aspen is an omega who doesn’t mince words and always says exactly what she means, which made her such a refreshing and enjoyable character. At the party, she literally runs into a man named Cole, who turns out to be her boss and, suddenly, her fake fiancé. Cole and Aspen head to Pine Ridge, where Cole grew up, to spend Christmas with his family. What starts as a pretend engagement quickly turns real when they discover they’re scent matches. And not just with Cole, Aspen also matches with Jack and North. Cole is the classic workaholic alpha who left home years ago and never looked back, carrying the weight of being the older brother to Jack. Jack is the fun-loving alpha who struggles with jealousy at first but eventually finds his balance. And then there’s North, the former beta turned omega, who is caring, gentle, and incredibly sweet. I loved him so much. Jack and North dance around their connection and attraction until Aspen comes into their lives. This story had everything I wanted in an omegaverse romance, including things I didn’t even realize I needed. As for Karina, my heart ached for her. I don’t think I could ever live that far apart from my loved ones, she is such a unique character, and I just wanted to give her the biggest hug. This was the perfect blend of Christmas magic, found family, and omegaverse romance, and I adored every moment of it.

Sugary Sweet

This was nice. It was sugary Sweet with very little plot, but it was a nice pallet cleanser. There's MM in the pack, as a heads up for anyone wondering. At times, I thought the MM felt like it was overwhelming Aspen's relationships with the men. I also really wanted to see her get revenge on her former pack. But overall, it was a sweet story. It was definitely longer than it needed to be though. Novella length would have suited this story just fine.

I wish this was a series. I loved the characters. The tempo was just right. The family drama was totally different from any of the thousands of books I read. I am new to Jarica James. But I am going to put her on my list of authors. I am on to her next book!

not what I was expecting

SPOILERS AHEAD So I LOVE Cole and Aspen and I honestly could’ve read a book with just them as the couple. I loved North and Jack and could’ve done the same for them. However the 4 of them as a pack just didn’t work out. I reads lots of OV but I am not a big fan of surprise omegas in the pack so when I went into this book thinking it was an ABOA but instead turns out it is an AOOA, needless to say it felt unnecessary. North could’ve stayed a Beta and his relationship with Jack would’ve still had value. It felt like making North into an Omega all of a sudden gave “justification” for his relationship with Jack and then North going into heat and that whole situation kind of refocused everything. Even during bond stuff it was Cole/Aspen and Jack/North. I’ve read lots of Male Omega and double Omegas in a pack books and I’ve loved them…however they made SENSE. This made no sense and honestly made the relationships less interesting and cohesive.
