I just finished building the pub and absolutely love it! I always make modifications because that’s part of the fun for me. Since I already had a pub for my winter village (WV) (from the Hogsmeade Village set), I turned this one into a tailor/dress shop — also, left off the water wheel. It’s my new favorite addition to my WV. In the past, I also built David Younger’s Scrooge House (love that one too). I’m a big fan of his work and he makes the process easy (buying the parts via BrickLink is easy, although not always cheap). I like having the book version but the advantage of a PDF would be that you can enlarge some of the images that can be a little tough for my middle aged eyes. I highly recommend David Younger’s designs. It adds some extra charm to your WV to have a few buildings, that are not a standard part of the collection. ... show more

I have personally built a majority of the models that David Younger and others have designed, and I have to say that, hands down, David Younger's models for the Lego Winter Village are the best instructions and model designs that you can find! Some of his models are even better than the official models that Lego designs! (Check out his Gingerbread House if you don't believe me!) His books are phenomenal and well thought out and a perfect way to keep from having to spend hours on the computer flipping thru PDFs! Sometimes, a Lego builder just wants to work with his hands, you know? Building a Lego Winter Village? Do yourself a favor, and buy David Younger's books, you will NOT be disappointed! ... show more

    • Perfect for the Christmas Set I bought!
Bought this to go with my Lego Christmas sets as a gift for my family in order to make our 'Winter Wonderland' at home during the pandemic. It was really useful. we took turns with the book when building it together. 5/5 or 10/10 would recommend!
