If you are a book lover you'll enjoy most of the enclosed items. I will say I'm glad I purchased on Amazon where I found it the cheapest. Definitely not worth the amounts being charged elsewhere. A couple of the items are cheesy and not really useful. But overall I love most to the items. Super cute packaging. Would like to repurpose however some of the items were packed so tightly I had to tear packaging slightly to get out. ... show more

I ordered a book advent calendar for Christmas and unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. While there were a few items that I liked, overall, I found myself disappointed with the contents. The calendar included several paper Christmas ornaments and an abundance of thank you cards, which were not what I was hoping for. I was expecting to receive more book-related items that I could display on my bookcase or use while reading, such as tabs, annotation slips, or a pen. Out of the entire advent calendar, there were only around 5 items that I genuinely liked. I was hoping for a more curated selection of book-themed surprises. My mom is IMPOSSIBLE to shop for. She has everything she needs and wants and only accepts practical gifts. It should be noted, however, that she LOVES TO READ and she also loves crafts. I gave this a whirl to give her something fun and it was perfect. Obviously you have no idea what’s inside the boxes when you buy it but she said there were not only “book things” but little adorable stamp pads and notes and other things she could put in her crafts!
