We bought this for my daughter’s 10th grade year. She loves the color and all the spice it offers. Her only complaint is the straps. They hurt her shoulders at first and she had to do a lot of adjusting. This bag might not be good for smaller people for that reason.

I bought the Northface Women's Jester backpack for my daughter for school based on glowing recommendations about how much would fit inside and how it would last through all 4 years of high school. She was excited until we received it and she could barely fit essentials into the backback. In fact, she had to remove many items she has taken to school with her in the past because she just couldn't squeeze them into this backpack. Then on the SECOND day of school, the side mesh pocket got a huge hole in in. I'm not sure how it happened but I think it was just from her taking her water bottle in and out of the pocket throughout the day. Regardless, for the high price of this backpack, it should last more than one day. And if it can't hold up to a water bottle being taken in and out of the pocket, that is pretty sad. I contacted Northface to see if I could get a warranty replacement since they allegedly guarantee their products for life & was told that I would have to send the backpack in to be assessed and then they would let me know what my options were. In the meantime, I was told to have my daughter borrow a backpack from someone else for school. I just found that to be a ludicrous suggestion and abysmal customer service. I came back to Amazon and processed a return for this overpriced garbage backpack and will be replacing with a Jansport, which is what I should have bought her in the first place. I have never had a Jansport every have any issues. Do yourself a favor and pass on this backpack & also Northface products in general unless you like to waste your money.
