I love this bag so much. It's comfortable, holds a lot of gear and so far quite durable. I used it on a trip to Japan and always had a DSLR + gear, and often times books or other souvenirs. I also use it on day trips around town at home or to cart my supplies back and forth from the office when needed. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my laptop as it is 16.5", not a 16. So I can put it in the backpack, just not in the designated compartment. My 15" work laptop fit perfectly though. My favorite features are the two side pockets to carry my drinks around, and the key strap inside the zip of the smaller from compartment.It's difficult to find a bag these days that has two side bottle compartments that can be used while the bag is stuffed full of gear. As far as the durability, I have no complaints. So far the zippers are working great, no tears or loose threads. The straps are still perfect. It's only been 8 months, but I'm impressed by the quality and the fact that the print on the bag has not faded or worn. I think this one is going to last me a long time, and for that I am grateful. I got this backpack when it went on sale. The quality and color and design are absolutely perfect. The only thing I would say is it’s not great if you have to carry around a lot of textbooks. Before I headed off to college, I wanted to get a backpack that was practical both for carrying books around but could also be functional for travel and outdoor adventures. This backpack is perfect for all of the above. I can load up all my notebooks and still have room to cram a jacket or two in the main compartment. The small pocket on the top holds far more than you might think, and I manage to keep a hairbrush, phone, i-clicker, sunglasses, altoids, and many lipsticks in it and still have plenty of room for other odds and ends. I LOVE that it has two water bottle holders because I always carry my water bottle and my coffee travel mug with me. I have brought the backpack on several hikes and it is light enough to be comfortable after hours of exertion. Holds two blankets, my hammock, and a jacket with room to spare. Additionally, it is built from a nice, weatherproof material that keeps the inside dry if it rains (it does get a little damp in there if it's been raining a while or raining hard, but not enough to wet my notebooks). I've put it through hell the last eight months and it looks NEW – I haven't washed it once. The elastic on the outside expands to hold quite a bit. The straps are very comfortable and not too stiff. My only issue is that it tends to fall on its front when you sit it down so you have to get a bit creative with how to keep it propped up – but I just got used to it after a while and it doesn't bother me too much. I love this backpack and have a feeling it's going to be my constant companion for a long time. ... show more
