  • Great Backpack!
Color: Tnf Black 2 Size: One Size
I bought this backpack three years ago, prior to starting high school. In the past, I’ve needed to get a backpack each year before school started because my old ones never lasted. This became a time-consuming, arduous, and expensive task that I wanted to get rid of permanently. Because of this, I decided to purchase the highly talked about Borealis North Face Backpack, which was not a mistake. For starters, the backpack has padded back straps that make it comfortable to carry and has several different storage compartments, perfect for your laptop, chargers, and any other school supplies. Along with this, it’s very versatile in its uses. This backpack has been to school, the beach, on several airplanes and is still yet to have any rips or tears. While this backpack is of excellent quality, one of its many favorable features is also the one that bothers me the most. This backpack has an extremely thick zipper to prevent it from damaging, breaking, or getting stuck like most zippers tend to do. However, this makes the bag slightly tricky to open, which in turn can sometimes make it hard to place objects in your backpack, especially if they have wider dimensions. However, I would still recommend this backpack to anyone. I’ve had so many different brands over the years, and this one is yet to beat. I use it every day, and I’m the reason why so many of my friends have purchased this product. It is well worth the cost. You wouldn’t regret it. ... show more

  • Love it soooo much.
Color: Tnf Black 2 Size: One Size
Bought it for school and it's such a good backpack, I love the almost hidden pouch top center. I use it store gum, perfume, eye drops, a lighter, ect. Such a good backpack, on summer breaks ill take it to the airport with me, the first pocket to the back is perfect for my laptop. The second pocket has a big area at the bottom perfect for my extra pair of clothes, charges, toiletries ect. And the final pocket is great for makeup and hairbrushes as well! Overall a good bag! ... show more

  • The less-puffy puffy coat
Color: Tnf Black/Tnf Black (Prior Season) Size: Medium
I love the 'less puffy' design of this 2015 model. Unlike most coats I've ever had, I can put it over thick sweaters, blazers and fleeces without having it look annoyingly bulky. I rated it 'Fits as expected,' but that's only because I heeded other reviews and ordered in the larger of the two sizes I'm always between in coats and jackets (medium). On me this means there is more room than ideal in the lower body, since I have small hips and rear, but I needed the space for my medium rib cage and shoulders. It all results in a somewhat loose but not unflattering fit. I ordered it in black, and I'm glad the chest and shoulder logos are also black. I think that makes the coat more style-neutral and versatile. (Maybe that's also what the darkened 'O' of the logo on the inside label means, which someone was worried about. Or maybe that's done to labels of unofficially sourced items. Just guesses, but I don't doubt the authenticity of the one I bought from a highly-rated Prime-fulfillment seller). It does feel very lightweight, and I'm in the windy city, but I'm guessing it will be plenty warm enough for me as long as I layer under it on colder days. The construction and materials seem high-quality, and as of now I see no feather leakage at all. I do wish the hood had some kind of overhang to serve as a rain and snow shield. I have a smallish head and fine hair, and still the hood stops at my hairline and can't be positioned to block my face from above at all. Haven't worn it out yet but I think I'm going to be very happy with it. ... show more

  • I traveled two weeks in Scandanavia with this pack
I went to Stockholm, Copenhagen and various cities in Norway, including Northcape, with only the clothes I was wearing and whatever I could squeeze into this pack and a fanny pack (about a week’s worth of clothes but more socks and underwear and no jeans). I stayed in hotels but did a variety of touristy activities including city exploring and hiking, including Pulpit Rock. It was doable but I had some issues: - It was raining a lot of days and everything in the bag got soaked so you will need to buy a separate rain cover. The outer shell is nylon but the zippers are the fail point so you can’t just use weather proofing spray. - The stretchy mesh pockets are very stretchy but not really that deep. There is an adjustable strap but it doesn’t keep things in or secure unless the pack is always right side up. I had a 32L hydroflask that dropped way too many times. Also the pockets show wear quickly (knicks and holes). It is fairly comfortable for hiking or city exploring though. I consider it more of a glorified backpack. Yes there are some technical features like a whistle but I’d prob go with something else if you want a real solid hiking pack. ... show more

  • Ummm—- Maybe
Color: Tnf Black 1 Size: Medium
I wanted to update my Northface that I’ve had for many many years. It truly served me well and is still in working condition but is starting to show signs of wear. I am from the Midwest and am currently living elsewhere, but that Midwest foundation allows me to understand the importance of a good sturdy and warm coat. I purchased the small last year and returned it because it seemed too small around the midsection. This year I got the medium and it looks shapeless on me. I’m 5’3 and about 120. I wore a sweater under the small and this year I wore a sweatshirt under the medium. Also, this coat seems lighter than the old version. I guess that could be an indication of technological advancements and not less warmth. They are the same down fill. The zipper on the older coat is metal and this one is plastic. I’m a little disappointed in that but maybe that too makes it lighter and doesn’t mean it won’t last as long. So now I’m contemplating ordering it again in a small. Or keeping what I have and getting over it. It’s a coat and it’ll (hopefully) keep me warm. Or maybe I’ll look for another coat. Love Northface, just need to process this. ... show more
