  • Good pack, but...
It's a good pack, BUT... It's just not for me. Not because the pack is bad, I just don't like sling bags. I really tried to work with this, as it really is the perfect size. It fit a Kindle Fire 8 HD, a small med-kit (more of a boo-boo kit), keys, wallet, and has a pocket for my phone. Though the pocket I used for the phone is probably for sunglasses, as it was lined with this really soft material that made it difficult to get my phone in and out of said pocket. The phone would fit better if there was no case, but who's rocking an iphone w/no case these days? It's also just a touch too small for a iphone 13 pro max in a Otterbox Commuter case. The pocket on the strap that's meant for a phone DEFINITELY won't fit the iphone 13 pro max, but WILL fit a small can of pepper spray. I'm not sure what kind of water bottle they had in mind when they made this bag, but the "water bottle pocket" perfectly fits a full size CAT tourniquet. So that'll tell you how small the pocket is. Sure, there's more room, but not enough for even a typical 20 oz. drink bottle. ... show more

  • Good for EDC and daily use.
Excellent day pack, not to big not to small. Inside pocket is lined with a soft material that should not scratch glasses or a small device with a screen. The balance is excellent, if you were it aligned with your back you will barely feel it. Water bottle pocket is slim not for anything over a 16 oz. soda bottle size. Pocket on the sling will hold a average phone and the pocket does stretch a little, will also hold a CAT tourniquet by itself. Two tone green does not scream 2A or mil guy. Blends in the public well for daily use. The main pocket could be a mid size EDC pocket and the same pocket has a mesh pocket that could carry a individual small med kit. Bungee system on back will hold a lite rain jacket if folded. ... show more

  • Definitely my favorite mini hiking bag
Size: One Size Color: White Dune/Tnf Black
I LOVE HER, perfect hiking bag I took it the next day to enchanted rock. It held everything perfectly. I fit 2 large water bottles, snacks, my phone, keys and a mini med kit. It has a soft lined zipper pocket on the inside with a key clip. I will say the outer "bottle pocket" will not hold any bottle I have, unless you severely crush a normal plastic water bottle. I almost bought a Patagonia bag like this then I was also looking into Cotopaxi on here but I liked the look of these way better and the extra pockets. ... show more

  • Great bag for small everyday things
First off, great bag. Just not right for me. I was looking for a cross body bag that didn’t scream tacti-cool for my every day carry stuff. And technically, this bag fits everything. But everything fits tight. I carry a GMRS radio with me. I put it in the water bottle pocket, fits. But it sticks out the top a bit. I’m currently carrying a baofeng DM-32, so it’s a taller radio. But my TD-H3 or TD-H8 fit fine in there and don’t stick out. The pocket on the strap is located really high. It rests on my collarbone. It will fit an iPhone 16 pro max with thin case, but it’s a struggle. You can’t just slide it in. And then the phone will ride uncomfortably on your collar bone, with the strap angling off your body. So that’s a no go. It’s fine for small soft things, but I personally don’t have anything to put in there. The main compartment is small. There is a tablet sleeve and I was able to get an 8” tablet with cover in there, but it was tight. Maybe a naked iPad mini would fit nice. If not carrying a tablet in the sleeve, you could carry a pew pew in the sleeve compartment. Any compact or sub compact will fit fine and doesn’t bounce around too much. There is a little more room in the main compartment but not much. You could stuff a non insulated rain jacket ( nylon type) in there but not anything bigger. In the front cover, inside the main compartment is a small zippered pocket that fits my wallet, small notebook and pens. No problem there. There is also a pocket on the front flap of the pack, that opens via zipper on the side. It has the soft microfiber stuff so as to not scratch your sunglasses. And there’s a god bit of room in there. The outside cover has bungees so you could remove a layer of clothing if you get too hot and stuff it under the bungee. I find that looks tacky AF, and would never do, but someone might. Overall, it is a really good bag. But for my requirements, it doesn’t fit the bill. I’ll be keeping it though, as I like options as things change. It just won’t be my current goto bag. ... show more

  • Just a few feature would make this a real winner.
I am rewriting my original review that said this bag is too small to be useful. I have figured out how to make it useful. I also own both the Patagonia Atom and the Osprey Daylight Sling and all have their pros and cons but the Borealis comes closest for my very specific needs. Pros: The bag is small and pretty light for day use. The main compartment has two zips so it can load from the top or from the side which is very handy. I use it for a 16 oz Zojirushi thermos and a few other small things. There is a mesh zip compartment inside the main compartment that I use for cash, band aids, tissues, credit cards, etc. I could fit some sunglasses and other things into the main compartment as there is still some room. It is comfortable to wear and, since I wear it mostly in the front, easy to access and use. The smaller front zip compartment is handy for my phone. The tiny compartment on the strap is handy for keys. The side compartment is really narrow and fits some very small items like a tiny umbrella. Cons I do not know how anyone fits a phone into the strap compartment. It you want to jam one in there because you will not get it out often then I guess it works since it is stretchy. I do not know how anyone fits any water bottle into the side compartment. If it was all stretchy material with a rigid velcro or adjustable strap to keep it open then it would work well. YMMV since some people manage these things. It is a well thought-out bag that could use a few tweaks here and there. A dark grey/white color would also be nice. ... show more

  • Great little bag!
Size: One Size Color: Gardenia White/Tnf Black
This is a great bag! I bought it for a Disney trip, because without small children I don’t need to carry much. It held the essentials- car key and cards, sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm, and also held my brita water bottle. It looks nice and is durable. I have taken it on other trips since then and I still love it. ... show more

  • Overpriced. Odd design choices.
Size: One Size Color: Garnet Dark Heather/Garnet
This bag is a good size. However, it's way over priced for what you're getting. There are better options for $25 here on Amazon. I get you're paying for the brand. What I don't get is that a company that charges you more because they supposedly build quality gear, made some poor design choices on this. I appreciate that its lightweight, thats what I wanted but some things don't make sense to me. The back of the bag has thick padding where it touches your back. It's unnecessary, the pack is so small. Unless you put a spiked bar of lead in there you don't need that much padding on the back. It takes away storage space in an already small area. Meanwhile... the strap has no padding. It doesn't make sense. Why would my back need padding but not the area that is supporting the weight of the pack? The strap should be padded. Also the the strap should be wider for longer. It would give you more comfort if you wanted it lower on your back. The strap should be longer as well so it can sit lower on your back. Last, the bottle holder barely fits a 20oz bottle. Plus it could be deeper. Oh, and the strap pocket is useless unless you have a flip phone. The only thing they got right is the size. For the price the practical design features are missing in a big way. I don't recommend it. ... show more

  • Great for Travel or the Beach
Size: One Size Color: Blue Flax/Twilight Galaxy
My wife asked for this for an upcoming beach vacation. She wanted to bring a bag to hold our beach towels, snorkel masks, water bottles and sunscreen. And it did! The expandable exterior holds heavy items so the capacity is more than just the interior of the bag. The silver color is a great neutral and we found it would be easy to spot clean. The crossbody fit was good and she said it fit comfortably. The zipper quality is great, holding up well even with it full. We still had space for keys, phones and slim sunglasses cases. I was able to fit my thin wallet in as well. Highly recommend if you are looking for a little bag that packs well and holds a lot. I even wore it as a 5’10” euro slim build guy and it was adjustable to fit me comfortably as well. We will be using it again and again for kayaking and SUP trips too. ... show more
