This is a light inner shell jacket. The fleece is soft and nice. Full zipper. Trimmed on the cuffs with a nice color. Light insulation for a fleece. Great for wearing when it's cool out. Not necessarily when it's cold out.

The Alpine 100 jacket is nice, with a comfortable, roomy fit. I chose the Optic Blue/TNF Black and I like the smooth, velvety feel of the fleece. While it will keep you warm in chillier temperatures, the thickness of the material feels somewhat light, and this factors in when considering durability. I associate this lighter feel with the Glacier top, which I also own. I like this jacket but I really chose it because I like the color and was able to get this at a reduced price.
