Features

  • Add 1/4 cup (Negg capful) of water to the Negg. Add your hard-boiled egg and snap on the top cap.
  • Now you're ready to slip the egg out of its shell. SHAKE the Negg up and down with enough force so that the egg strikes the caps. Remember to take it a little easy, or you will end up with a slushy mess complete with shells.
  • Shake until you feel the shell begin to "soften" - approximately 4 to 12 times. Timing will vary. The body is clear so you can watch the progress.
  • When you see the white of the egg appear, you're done. Mission Accomplished. The egg will then slip out of its shell.
  • If the egg is a reluctant sheller you may have to break the membrane after shaking to get the shell to release. This can happen with extremely fresh eggs, and is not the norm.

  • Perfect for Making Deviled Eggs (Saved Me Time on Thanksgiving)
Color: Fuchsia
This worked great for Thanksgiving when I was making a big batch of deviled eggs. Peeling hard-boiled eggs is usually the most annoying part, but this made it fast and easy. A few shakes with a little water and the shells came right off cleanly. It saved a ton of time and frustration, especially when you’re peeling multiple eggs at once for a holiday meal. Simple to use, surprisingly effective, and now I won’t make deviled eggs without it. Highly recommend if you cook with eggs or do holiday meal prep. ... show more

  • It really works once you get the right feel of shaking it.
Color: White
Read the instructions! Follow the instructions! Don't shake it too hard, just a slow flick of the wrist works well. This gadget actually works. Honestly this was a low expectation purchase for me. I've tried most every other way to peel boiled eggs with mixed results. So far this works the best, but you have to get over the urge to shake it hard. I used it three different times before I got a dozen perfect eggs. My sweet spot is about 20 gentle back and forth shakes. Remove from the container and the eggs seem to just roll out off the shell. I have noticed that starting the peeling at the large, rounded end of the egg seems to work better. My only complaint is that the lid is sometimes hard to remove. ... show more

  • So Terrible, its Grrrrreat!
Color: Black
I would like to complain! I had very bad health, and a friend suggested I start with the 2 boiled eggs and Greek yogurt with oats and fruit for breakfast trick for better health. So I got one of the crappy egg steamers, then bought another, so i can do 18 eggs at a time. Peeling them, took for ever! So, I bought one of these awful things, just another gimmic to suck up my hard earned cash!!! Naw, Im not a Democrat, but got you to read this far, lol The egg steamer is AWESOME!!! and so is this gadget, just dont use a lot of water or they sometimes disintegrate the whites too! lol I gave both items out for Christmas last year, cause i used to weigh 275 pounds as Santa Clause, and with this new breakfast diet, I lost 70 pounds, AND cut my Dumbledore looking beard down to about 3 inches. I recommend this item, and myself will keep buying as gifts. Note: I use large brown free range grown eggs, Chobani Yogurt, and Bear Naked oats with fruit. Oh and mushroom coffee by Laird, if i dont grind my own coffee beans, every morning. Fresh is 10x better than freeze dried, that you never know how old or how much mold is in the regular coffee. (Was military, so I drink coffee, like all day, so got a percolator that reheats all day without burning, like gas station coffee. perfect to the last drop!) These things are great, recommend 100%! ... show more

  • Works with some caveats...
Color: Black
So I bought this as I saw it on a YouTube short of the best kitchen gadgets to buy. I make my entire family deviled eggs every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. That's on average about 30-40 eggs to hard boil and peel. It normally takes me 2-4 hours to peel everything and about 5-6 eggs are useless because they broke during peeling. Did I mention I HATE peeling hard boiled eggs? So when I saw this I of course had to have it. A previous review said that this thing works ONLY if you follow the instructions. Well the instructions say to boil the eggs for 11 minutes. Add a minute for larger eggs. I use store bought Grade AA eggs. I have always been taught to boil eggs for 20 minutes AFTER the water starts to boil. I do live at 6k feet of elevation. In school we did experiments to find the perfect boil time and we concluded that 18 minutes was the perfect time. So when the instructions said to boil for 11 minutes, I called Hogwash. Well I did it per instructions boiling 2 eggs. Then ice bath for 5 minutes. Then it says to pour 1/4 water into the device , insert boiled egg and shake vigorously for 6 or 7 times. I followed the instructions to the letter and ended up with egg soup. Threw that in the trash and tried again on the second egg. same result. So I boiled 2 eggs MY way and ice bathed them. Then used 1/4 or little less water, dropped in the egg and GENTLY shook the egg in the container just enough to crack the exterior which was maybe about 4 shakes. Pulled the egg out and the shell came right off, easy pezy. Tried with the second and same result. My conclusion is to boil the eggs normally as you know how and the time that you normally do. Add in a little less than 1/4 cup water and do NOT shake it hard, no need to. Don't need soup here. Just enough so the egg is cracked all the way around. if the egg fails to crack, go again a little longer. Trail and error will tell you how long and hard to do it. Therefore I do say this works and will cut my peeling time down by a substantial amount. However, I took off a star for incorrect instructions. ... show more

  • Disappointed with the peeling
Color: White
Performance not good enough. I would have returned it but I waited too long. Now trying to find a use for it. So far it’s just clutter. It’s easy to clean though. Not worth the plastics

  • It is not an egg peeler... it is an egg shell cracker!
Color: Yellow
works perfectly. It is not an egg peeler... it is an egg shell cracker! the goal is just to impact or fracture the egg enough to enable you to peel away the shell. I think the ones failing are trying to get the whole egg shell to peel away inside the cylinder and the time it might take for the egg shell to fall off or disintegrate you could have removed the egg from the cylinder and peeled off the shell in a fraction of the time of shaking it. With a small amount of water and 2/3 shakes you can hear and feel the egg crack with a thud. stop, dont try shaking more, just pull out the egg and start peeling it. Trust me, it will peel much faster than doing it the traditional way. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds and sometimes it takes 1 second to remove the shell. It usually took me 2 to 5 minutes to peel 1 egg. was frustrating to say the least. Factors to Consider; 1.) If your egg ends like soup, it is either your egg was not hard boiled enough. 2.) use less vigor than you would use a salt shaker. should just be enough force for egg to travel from one end to other. Start gently, you can hear the egg and feel the egg shell break/crack and then stop. 3.) too little water or too much water. I add enough water to be about level with the yellow cap and the clear cylinder meet. ... show more
