  • Refreshing perspectives - together with humor and dignity. It's a must read!
Format: Paperback
The Human Side of Leadership is a great tool for all of us. Though not all are managers or in a leadership role, all can benefit from the thoughtful perspectives from Steven’s role as a first line supervisor and HR Business Partner at American Airlines. The personal stories demonstrate his rare quality of actively listening. “It’s about viewing people not as problems to fix but as opportunities to nurture” and “partners in growth”. Both are refreshing perspectives – together with humor and dignity. ... show more

  • This Book Really Helped Me
Format: Paperback
The title of the book immediately caught my attention, and I picked it up hoping to find something that could help my boss become a better leader. I did—but I also found so much more for myself. Though I don’t hold a leadership role at work, this book revealed areas in my personal life where I can grow into a better person. It taught me to be more empathetic, to withhold judgment when others struggle to understand, and to navigate the judgment of others with more grace. I could go on and on about the impact this book has had on me, but I’ll simply say—I’m grateful. ... show more

I believe the best part about the book, although it focuses on a “work environment”, I found myself thinking of ways I could apply this with people I deal with daily(in my retired very very comfortable life). Great read! ... show more

The Human Side of Leadership is a great read. If you're aspiring to be a great leader in any field or industry, this book is for you! We often forget about the humanity side of leadership and focus on the rights and wrongs of corporate emphasis. This book expressed those concerns and is a must read!
