Our dog is spoiled, I'll admit it. :) She gets her daily kibble, lots of snacks, a daily Greenie, and then at night she gets a mini meal of human grade food. Sometimes it's chopped up chicken breast or hamburger meat, sometimes Fresh Pet chicken and turkey rolls, and other times it's this Honest Kitchen Beef. I've tried all the Honest Kitchen pate flavors, and this is the one my dog likes. In Winter/Spring, it's cold enough that the product ships firm. But in Summer the product melts and softens, and it just mushy. My dog hates mush, she only eats chunks. So in warm months I refrigerate the product, and then cut it into 5 slices, cut each slice in half lengthwise, and then cut it all into cubes. She'll eat it cold, and she also like it when I microwave the cubes for about 15 seconds. Just enough to slightly warm it without turning it to mush. I'd say this is a more expensive option to bringing Honest Kitchen dry/mix with warm water if you're going on a trip. It's certainly easy but I do need to cut off the top. If you have a small dog, I think doggy will love this and easy for you. Also don't forget as far as I know the Honest Kitchen has excellent food. ... show more

My 5 pound senior chi is a VERY picky eater. It's always been a battle to get him to eat a majority of the time. We first tried the dehydrated Honest Kitchen dog food and he wasn't thrilled with it. Decided to try this pate version and I'm shocked at how much he loves it! He actually comes running when it's time to eat, and that is unheard of for him. He's been eating the turkey and autumn veggies for about 5 months now and has yet to turn down a meal! The ingredients seem like good quality and I feel good about feeding this to him. We stick with the turkey and autumn veggies flavor because its the only one that is not grain free. It is a little pricey but we mix it with dry food which makes it last a little longer and plus it's worth it to have my little guy eating well. **Updating to add a tip - As soon as I open a new box I transfer the contents into a glass container with a lid. I find this makes it much easier to get all of the food out of the box because it's still in one big loaf more or less and comes right out. Otherwise it's difficult to scrape the last of it out by the end of the box. ... show more

Have been feeding this for over a year now at first great but as i order the turkey and duck weekly ive noticed there is alot of inconsistency the first two pics posted are of date time food made and what it looks like which is good looks good smells great pinkish like it should be the second two pics are made same day but different time like 8 hours apart notice how the food in second pic is orangish brown and smells awful not spoiled awful but strong seasoning smell or something my dogs don't even want to eat it and they usually love it i have tried to reach out to the company directly but to no avail currently looking for another food with more consistency and its not the cheapest at 26.00 for 6 small boxes of food ... show more
