  • Senior dog approved!
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
Perfect food for my senior dog. He loves the flavor and consistency. I love the ease of preparation and the healthy ingredients. So much better than canned dog food that you have to refrigerate and reheat.

  • Excellent Quality Dog Food – My Dog Loves It!
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I’m so impressed with The Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Whole Grain Chicken Dog Food! It’s the perfect solution for my dog’s meals, and I love knowing that I’m feeding him something healthy and nutritious. The dehydrated formula is easy to prepare – I simply add water, and it’s ready to serve. I’ve noticed that my dog loves the taste and always finishes his meal without hesitation. The ingredients are top-notch, and I love that it’s made with whole grains and real chicken, providing my dog with high-quality protein and essential nutrients. It’s great to see a brand that focuses on whole food ingredients without any fillers or artificial additives. Plus, it’s made with natural ingredients, which gives me peace of mind about what my dog is eating. The 4 lb box lasts me a decent amount of time, and I feel good about giving my dog a nutritious meal every day. I’ve also seen an improvement in his coat and overall energy since switching to this food. If you’re looking for a high-quality, easy-to-prepare, and nutritious food for your dog, I highly recommend The Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Whole Grain Chicken Dog Food. Overall, it’s a great choice for any dog parent who wants the best for their pet! ... show more

  • The honest kitchen is AWESOME!!!
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have six small dogs and 3 of them get The honest Kitchen to eat. Charlie my long coat chihuahua has a very sensitive belly and so I am very careful about what I feed him. He is usually raw fed but since he is a little guy I usually don't hand him a raw steak or piece of chicken. (though I do that as well) The honest kitchen is a really good brand. I am very impressed by the products they put in their food. It is human grade which says a lot. Yes the food is a little costly and yes it has the consistency of oatmeal but it is so much better for your dog then kibble. I do feed a certain kind of kibble at times because the dogs like being able to crunch sometimes and the two old dogs (1 16 year old chihuahua and 1 16 year old pomeranian) has teeth problems. Well the pom actually has no teeth! They all love this food. I do keep it interesting and add things regularly like fresh veggies, cottage cheese, yogurt, and so on. Read what is in your dog food and do your research. I have learned a lot about dog food over least last few years and there are things I really did not want to know. So back to the honest kitchen: You measure out what amount you need (I give them a little less then the recommended amount and split it into two meals) add some hot water, stir and let it sit. at times I will add a little more water half way through as it gets really thick sometimes. Now the package says 15 minutes I believe but I will usually let it sit for about an hour. It seems that they are able to digest it better when it sits longer. I switch out the flavors because no one likes to eat the same thing over and over. Overall I am extemely happy with The honest kitchen and always recommend it. I do not buy any food from petstore chains or grocery stores. Same goes with treats. ... show more

  • Great food, not good price
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
So the pros, this is easy peasy fresh/canned food alternative. It's the canned food without the can. It's the fresh food without the meal prep and cooking! It's a hybrid and the best of both worlds, all you need to do is just add water! That being said... (oh and 40lbs of dog food in a 10lb box that I can actually carry up 3 flights of stairs... YES please!!) the cons... I don't think this is good for big dogs or a lot of dogs. This can get real expensive, real fast and to be honest... I have never measured... BUT I don't think it makes 40lbs of food... what I mean by that is.... 40lbs of dog food (dried kibble) takes me X amount of weeks to go through... this box that supposedly makes 40lbs of dog food... did NOT last me that same amount of time. I was going through this stuff MUCH quicker than I ever was my dry kibble. My dogs LOVED it! That's good. I DON'T think I was overfeeding them.. WHY? bc none of them gained weight! They stayed the same... So... that leads me to think.. again.. this doesn't make exactly 40lbs of dog food equivalent. This is good for little dogs or not that many dogs OR for people who have a lot of $$ and no budget for dog food. Would I recommend, yes for those folks I just listed above otherwise, no. Would I repurchase? I have and off and on will but will use this as a supplement NOT for the entire source of their food. But quality is amazing and the dogs love it! It's fresher than canned food and kibble and it takes the work out of cooking for your dog. ... show more

  • Made my dog sick - can't tolerate it.
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 2 lb (Pack of 1)
Got roped in with the good reviews as I was looking for alternatives to wet food. Introduced to my 11yo terrier mix very slowly. This was always planned as a supplement to mix in with his dry food. He wasn't liking the taste so like many others, I moistened with chicken and beef broth (low sodium). He did eat it but as last bite and didn't seem to enjoy it. I thought he would eventually adapt but not 2 weeks later he developed diarrhea. I wasn't sure this food might be the culprit so I removed it from his diet and he resolved the diarrhea within a day or 2. A few days later I started the slow re-introduction again, and by day 3 the diarrhea came back. I stopped feeding this altogether and he has been fine since. Clearly this was caused by the food (this was the ONLY new change in his feeding plan). The broths I had used to moisten he tolerates with no issues whatsoever. I bought both the beef and chicken variety and am now stuck with unusable food that I don't even feel comfortable donating. Many others have complained about their dogs getting sick as well. I regret trying this and would not recommend it. ... show more

  • So Nice Not Having Dog Food Bags and Wasted Food...
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 2 lb (Pack of 1)
Where do I even begin with this Dog Food. My only complaint is that I did not find and use it sooner. I was feeding my dog Blue as I thought I was doing the best I could for my dog. While she did OK at first she started spitting it out all over the floor. She also would not eat until her stomach would growl, so I know she didn't enjoy her food. I tried other flavors but it was all the same. Then one day I purchased a bag that was missing all Life Source bits , the stuff they claim holds all the extra vitamins and power. The company told me the bits are no different than the rest of the food. Meaning they don't do anything extra as their commercials boast, I was safe to just feed her the bag with out them. I was done with processed dog food. I did a lot of research, even looked at the "freash" Bologna looking food in the refrigerated section and was not at all pleased. When I found this company everything was different. Their website is packed full of every bit of information you could ask for. I did some research about their claims and found no issues. Also, the fact that they had their food certified safe for human consumption mattered. They do not even allow any products on the property that are not safe for humans to eat. I purchased a trial box to check it out. It is just like making Oatmeal and it actually smelled like food. Not dog food. I could also see all of the things they claim to put into their food right there in the bowl. Is it pretty to look at? NO, it's food. It's real food. We are so used to everything being appealing to the eye. You don't need artificial colors or shapes for your dog food. You need good nutrition. So of course I decided to make the move. In fact I didn't even switch over gradually I just gave it to her and removed the kibble for good. She didn't have a single problem and finally...she ate when I gave it to her. No more waiting until late at night or listening to her tummy growl. One of my orders...the bag at the very bottom got a hole in it. You could tell it was done by the seal which probably got caught on something. Still, they wanted my food to be fresh as they made it and had a new box sent out immediately. They even wanted the lot number from the box to keep in case they see anymore issues besides just my own. It's so comforting to know that the food I'm feeding my much loved pup is being made by a company who takes their job serious and stand behind their promises. I worked it out financially and I'm actually spending less than I was before. It's also really, really nice not having to deal with big bags of dog food. The boxes are made to look so nice that I just keep it out on my the counter. This is a move I know I was right to make. ... show more

  • (BEFORE & AFTER!) …& Actually CHEAPER than Walmart Kibble- and MUCH Healthier!! (BEFORE & AFTER!) …& Actually CHEAPER than Walmart Kibble- and MUCH Healthier!!
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 2 lb (Pack of 1)
On cost- even Nutro from Walmart is $3.78 Lb, but since u add this with water, it comes out to be $3 per Lb, plus you’re feeding your dog something HEALTHY, and not just God knows what in hard, dry, boring kibble!! I have a little Toy poodle who prefers to “lick” at his food, and not spend enough time properly chewing anything. This solves both those problems!! I thought it was funny people saying it gives diarrhea, as if anything, we had the opposite experience. I order the Stella & Chewys “Carnivore Crunch”- then break up ONE piece over the top to get him going! lol! The Beef is great, however the Chicken smells a bit too strong of Bananas:( I haven’t tried the other formulas yet. I trust this brand. When I rescued my dog, he was in terrible condition - just really bad health, and I would break up his dog food really small and add the Honest Kitchen beef stew gravy over the top. I saw him go from being at deaths door practically, to being a super healthy, happy dog in no time! His hair, eyes, nails, everything is so much better, all because of the Honest Kitchen. Thank you The Honest Kitchen!🙏🏻🙏🏻 ... show more

  • I love the quality, but my dog isn't a fan.
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I really wanted this to be "the one." On paper, it’s perfect—human-grade ingredients, convenient dehydrated format, and a brand I truly trust. I love the concept of just adding water and knowing exactly what’s going into my dog’s bowl, but unfortunately, my dog has other ideas. Even when I follow the instructions to the letter, the texture seems to be the dealbreaker for him. He finds it too dry and unappealing, often just sniffing it and walking away. I’ve tried adding extra water to make it more of a "stew" and even mixing in some toppers, but it’s a struggle to get him to finish a meal. It’s a shame because the quality is clearly top-tier, and it’s so much healthier than standard kibble. If your dog isn't a texture snob, this is a fantastic food, but for my picky guy, it’s just not a hit. ... show more
