  • When high quality dog food is important…
Flavor Name: Grass-Fed Beef Size: 22 Pound (Pack of 1)
Love Open Farm and the quality of their food. Great to be able to offer kibble with toppers when we travel/ camp and are unable to carry raw or cook meals for my dogs. Thank you Open Farm for providing high quality food for our companions.

  • I always come back to this!
Flavor Name: Wild Salmon Ancient Grain Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dog will eat anything, but I try to be selective. My vet, as well as the folks from the rescue, advised me to avoid grain-free food, as he has no trouble with grains. I didn't want to go with just *any* grains, so I did a lot of research. My research led me to Open Farm! My guy gets a mix of Open Farm Ancient Grains salmon and a little bit of another brand's raw food... just to fancy things up a little bit. But here's the reason I'm even writing a review: At some point, after starting my dog on a fish oil supplement, I wanted to change his protein to chicken from salmon. My local pet store only carried the grain-free turkey and chicken variety and suggested another high-quality brand with good grains. The other brand, who I won't mention, was fine.. my pet store is selective about which brands they'll carry! But the ingredient list was a lot longer than Open Farm's. I eased him into his new food and kept him on it for a few months. Even after the adjustment period, my dog's poops were not as solid and healthy-looking as they were when he was eating Open Farm. He also pooped way more than ever, even though I was keeping his calorie intake the same. So, I switched back to Open Farm.. although since I moved across town, I had to order it online because my *new* local pet store only carries the grain-free salmon, and his poops are back to normal! His coat is incredibly sleek, he has never had bad poop, never barfs it up, never turns it down. There are only two incredibly minor drawbacks--one is that his breath is really fishy after eating, and the second is that the seal on the bag sometimes detaches, making it hard to keep fresh. Anyway, I won't stray from Open Farm again. Seriously, if you're looking for a good-quality kibble that your dog won't turn down (and that won't wreck your dog's stomach like some other brands with "healthy" grains), don't hesitate to go with Open Farm. ... show more

  • No Chicken Meal Added
Flavor Name: Homestead Turkey Ancient Grain Size: 11 Pound (Pack of 1)
It was a gamble to switch brands after my dogs had been on Wellness for years but after they added chicken meal to their turkey recipe my dogs seemed to itch. But now, I poured them this Turkey kibble and they love it. Crossing my fingers but it's only been a couple of days and no itching. WOW need I say more. Added bonus, they like the small kibble. Who knew? Let's hope I continue with this success. It's really difficult to find in my area so I will probably just stay with ordering through Amazon. ... show more

  • Great Dry Dog Food
Flavor Name: Wild Salmon Ancient Grain Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have had difficulty finding a quality dog food that my small dog will eat. I was throwing away a lot of food as she would usually not eat the meal in its entirety. That changed with this product. It is added to wet food that I make and is gobbled up. Plate is licked clean. I like the fact that you can see where ingredients are sourced, although I haven’t checked that out. ... show more

  • Dangerous
Flavor Name: Grass-Fed Beef Size: 22 Pound (Pack of 1)
I am simply shocked at how many people are saying they think this is good dog food, and it makes me question the validity of these reviews. I have never seen my dog this sick, he has watery diarrhea each time I give him even a tiny amount of this food. I have tried multiple times to see if he gets used to it, and I've decided it's not worth him getting this ill, and for many days. Thankfully Amazon gave me a refund. This company should be investigated, imho. I think it's very interesting that I saw a similar review on here only a week or two ago, saying that their dog had the same thing happening to them each time they tried it, and now the review appears to have been removed. Food for thought. ... show more
