These pots came up when searching for a 3-gallon pots. I read the description, but the size of it was not indicated. Well, I went ahead and ordered. Needless to say I was very disappointed to realize they are smaller than I wanted - only one gallon. The same week I went to a garden and farm store and bought the same quality one-gallon pots for 50 cents a piece. Can't return since I already used them. These pots are exactly what I was looking for. The black color is great- really takes in the heat of the sun (something I need for growing things in Alaska). They are very wide- about the same diameter as a five gallon bucket, but a little shorter. I recently transplanted a dwarf banana tree into one and it's doing great. There are about six large drainage holes on the bottom that work really well for letting all the water out. I do reccommend putting a screen over them or getting rocks for the bottom- dirt is easily washed away when holes are this big. They are heavy duty yet light-weight. I can move my banana plant between two large windows I have in my house for maximum sun exposure and this planter holds up. An absolute high-quality nursery planter that's great for smaller trees and even plants like tomatoes that need a lot of room to grow and could use the heat from the black color. Durability: Very tough, holds up well during movement and in tough weather conditions Weight: Very light Drainage: Plenty, the holes are a bit big- but like I said if you use a screen or rocks in the bottom it's perfect. Color: A deep black that really soaks up the sun's warmth, perfect for cold climates Overall Use: My banana tree is loving it's new home, and I intend to use these for tomatoes and other veggies and tropicals this summer. ... show more

The description says that this pot is 8.88 x 8.25 x 8.88 inches, but in reality it is only 7 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter. I am incredibly disappointed, since I have no use for this smaller pot and I have just spent money on something I cannot use.
