I wanted some red shorts to go with my July 4th tops and a cute yellow crop top with red flowers that I bought. These have a nice high waist, so no belly shows on the top and I have complete coverage. After reading reviews, I bought the S. It is a good fit for me, but I think that the XS would have fit fine. For reference, I am 5'5" tall, 123 lbs, 35-28-37. I normally wear a size 4. Very nice material, but they arrived a bit wrinkled. They ironed easily, although I think that wrinkling in wear will be an ongoing issue- common with linen material. If wrinkling is an issue for you, these may not be the shorts you want. If you like a more casual look, you will love these. The color is a bright cherry red. It does not go well with my patriotic shirts because the color is too red/orange, but I have several other shirts that look great. The legs are a bit wide, which gives a more formal look (almost like a skirt). Perfect for my intended use! ... show more

I was excited to get these shorts. The material was nice but they were HUGE!!!!! I order the size I normally wear and ended up with a blanket. These shorts were pulled all the way up above my chest and they still went down to Capri length!!! I am 5'5 265 and ordered the 4x.
