This is an amazing jacket. I needed a nice, heavy winter jacket for the cold and windy coastal Santa Cruz weather after moving to college, so I wanted something that would keep me warm but also look cute. This jacket is exactly what I wanted. I get compliments almost every time I wear it and now all my friends want one! Pricing: I don’t usually spend more than $30 on clothing, but I really wanted this jacket, so I decided to splurge a little. Plus, Carhartt is a reliable brand, so I know it will last me a very long time. I looked into a few other brands (Dickies, Patagonia, etc.), but I felt that Carhartt was a better fit for what I was looking for. I considered getting a jacket from Dickies ($139.99) that was close to identical, but I decided to go with Carhartt ($109) because not only was it more cost-efficient, but it seemed warmer and more stylish as well. Pros: The jacket is nice and warm without being too heavy and goes with almost any outfit. I also love that Carhartt tends to look even better with a little wear and tear over time, unlike some other brands. This way I don’t have to treat it like a new pair of white shoes and be worried about getting a little scuff or dirt on it. It is extremely durable, so if that’s what you’re looking for, look no further! Potential Cons: You should be aware that when you first get the jacket it may feel bulky and tough, but it is easy to break in. I washed it a couple of times according to the instructions on the tag and it is much better now. It was a bit big on me (as I was expecting), so I threw it in the dryer after I washed it and it did shrink a little bit, but definitely not too much. For reference, I am 5’2 and 110 lbs and I got the mens small. It is still a little big on me even after shrinking it, but that’s exactly what I was aiming for. The zipper can be a little sticky at times, but it hasn’t been a big issue for me so far. One thing you should know is that it is not waterproof or water-resistant. I wore it in the rain once and the water soaked right through the outer shell. Still not a problem for me though! Just thought I’d mention it. Overall: Overall it's an amazing jacket and is one of my favorite clothing items that I own. I don’t know how I went all this time without it! High quality, plenty of pockets, comfy, warm and stylish. I definitely recommend getting this jacket!

Runs true to size. The quality of this jacket is unmatched. It’s pretty darn warm, especially so on the single digit degree days. The elastic on the wrist is crucial to not allowing cold air, snow, etc in. Also this jacket is a staple in a man’s wardrobe and looks great for an everyday wear.

Very well made and heavy duty. The shipping was very fast as well. This coat is great for working outdoors in the cold winter and is just a great looking all around coat. I love the sturdy metal zipper, and the hood is fantastic. It's very roomy inside which is great as you can really put on extra layers underneath for the brutally cold days. In fact, you can easily put on full winter coveralls underneath if needed. 5 stars all the way!

I bought this as an early Christmas present for my fiance and he loves it, he said it's very comfortable and warm. I bought a large for him so he can add a layer under this jacket if he needs to. I didn't need to size up for him it would have been too big snd the medium would of been a little short for his arms. So I think the sizing is correct.

In order to get the sleeves long enough we had to order the larger size, but this coat started out relaxed fit and it is really very big. Sleeves are fine but the body is huge. Also I had to wash it 10 times and dry with tennis balls and it is still very stiff. We've always had Carhartt but this one seems quite a bit more stiff and hard to break in than the others in the past. Good quality, only reason I gave it less stars is the fit because it is so big. My husband is 5'11" and 182 pounds and it fits like a tent.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it. He works outdoors and needed a good quality coat to keep him warm. Carhartt is definitely a well trusted brand and it lives up to the hype! It keeps him warm in the weather and he loves it!! I plan on buying him one in black also.

Got this jacket 14 years ago from a farmer's market. To this day, it's still in great shape! It just has 14 years of work related wear and tear. ( Carpenter) Replaced it this Christmas. I would say it is very durable and worth every penny. Got this for my 6 foot 4 inch partner, 225lbs. Fits great. Highly recommend
