I got the small tan colored bird bath for my husband's birthday and he was amazed at how heavy and sturdy it is. The outside has an appealing scalloped look look and the granite is lovely. I was surprised that the inside bottom surface is kind of rough and has some tiny loose bits that have chipped off, but I don't suppose that will bother the birds. They have been slowly coming over to check it out, but so far we don't have a big bunch of birds hanging out in the water. We placed it on a flat spot on top of a big boulder so it's easily visible. It looks great in our xeriscape yard. We are really glad it can stay outside year-round despite our hot summers and harsh winters, and we are very pleased with it. I have this ground bird bath close to my bird feeders. The birds use it often and appear to love it. Also since it is made out of granite it can be left outside even in freezing temperatures without fear of damage. In addition it is a beautiful addition to my backyard.
