I am a lady of a certain age who gets hot flashes. I have spent tons of money on cooling products all in the pursuit of overcoming night sweats. ( more than I care to admit in a review certainly) My latest cooling pillow lasted for years until it lost it’s cooling ability. Sadly the company no longer makes that pillow anymore. Desperate for relief my hunt began… fast forward several months and I stumble upon this pillow! Pros- the travel size is slightly larger than your typical toddler pillow. Makes it better for me as a tummy/side sleeper to position it perfectly as I half lay/ half hug it in my weird slumbering position. The first night I slept on it I found it to be too full. But fear not, if the height is not to your liking, simply take out some of the filler by easily unzipping the pillow and case! You even get a nice storage bag with some filler in it should you need to add more. The second night I slept on it was blissful nirvana! I found I no longer was waking up to flip a pillow to refresh to a cool side. The pillow case that it comes with is extremely soft and cool to the touch as well! All this with a price that doesn’t break the bank is a win in my book! Cons- esthetically, the pillow case it comes with is in my opinion not the most fashionable one I would hope for. The black stripe around the middle is funky and stands out like a sore thumb against my bedding set. At this point I am willing to deal with the ugliness since I can now sleep! I am also struggling to find a good pillow case to fit this pillow as it is slightly larger than a toddler size pillow. I did purchase one toddler pillowcase in hopes I could just make it fit but it was too smushed into it to retain the softness that I know this pillow has. I am going to end up making one to custom fit this pillow since I love it so much! Overall, if you don’t mind the look of the case it comes with, I would highly recommend giving this pillow a try!

Ok so I waited 2 weeks to write a review because I wanted to give us time to adjust from sleeping on crappy bargain mart pillows bought from big blue retail/grocery stores. That said, the expectation that it will remain as cold as a block of ice throught the night is unrealistic! But these are cold to the touch, and if you want the continual chill effect, you will have to flip it throught your sleep. I do this already, often without waking to a fully conscious state. The outer cover is what delivers the cooling effect. I am not too sure that the gel foam inside the second case does much cooling, but it does cradle your head as if jesus himself were craddling your head in his lap. Despite some reviews and answers to questions asked, the fill IS adjustable, simply unzip both cases and pull some out. We store ours in a ziplock bag for future use. I wasn't sure that we would like using the pillows without a pillow case, but after trying it both ways the only real difference i found is without the pillow case the pillow feels a little colder but is much slipperier when trying to fold or mold( I, for what ever reason, never just lay my head in the middle of the pillow, i like to tuck the corner under itself). If you use a pillow case, it is best to find a pillow case made of 100% cotton of percale weave, as i found that other material really defeats the cooling properties of the outer case. To sum it up, it is a quality, adjustable to your preference pillow that has the best cooling properties that i have found to date. If that is what you are looking for, i would recommend this pillow.

I am not a fan. The pillow does not stay any colder than any of the other ones and trust me, I have checked. Not only does not stay cool/cold, but it slants and slips. It does not stay inside a normal pillow case and slips out in the middle of the night. If you plan on buying this pillow, make sure you have zip case. Last, it slants. It is not memory foam so it does not hold shape at all. I am constantly having to fluff and readjust it to get it back to a good shape. Less than 1 star for this pillow.

At first glance, the pillows seem cool but it doesn't last. Not worth the $$ in my eyes unless you're actually part of the 10% of wealthy (with $1 milli +) that live in America. There's zero feel of cool when we lay your head on it. Don't add a pillowcase if you really want to feel the ever so slight coolness that's probably in your mind anyway. Our minds are fascinating the things it can convince us of, like the fact that this pillow doesn't work but I just lie to myself & say it's so cold I can barely use it. It's a very full pillow. If you have neck or back issues annpd plan on getting a better sleep with this pillow plus stay cool at the same time then, this pillow is not for you. It's aggressively full of stuffing with no plans of ever settling down any time soon much like the artist rapper named Rick Ross.

Well I'm giving it two stars because it seems to be a very quality made pillow. The seam seem to be sewed well and the zippers seems good. But that being said I don't think this ranks anywhere close to the coldest pillow. I had high expectations based on the description but having used it now for about 2 weeks it's cool for all of 2 seconds. For those two seconds it's very cold but that goes away rather quickly. I have a memory foam pillow with a gel layer I got at bed bath & beyond that does stay cooler than this one and I was looking for another one since they've now gone out of business. (That'll teach me not two buy two of something that I like) I figured I would give this a shot. Doesn't stay as cold as I would like and it's also not got enough fill for my liking. I like a very firm thick pillow. So if you like a pillow like that as well this is definitely not the pillow for you. If you're looking for a down alternative pillow and like something on the softer side then I would definitely check it out as far as just a pillow. But if you're looking for a cold pillow this definitely doesn't live up to its name.
