I wanted to exercise at home verses the gym. This book is a great replacement for using an app. A few exercise instructions were unclear, so I looked them up. I like how each day's exercises have a note about the last time you did that particular set so you can keep track of improvements. There are also "pro tips" and pages to remind you how to do exercises properly. Near the back of the books are all the exercises used and how to do them properly with pictures. To make it easier to use, I would love to see different sections marked to find easier. Maybe a black edge on the pages or something. I just used sticky notes to mark the different exercise sections in the back, so that worked for me. ... show more

I bought this journal to try and do more intentional workouts. Before this, I was just doing random workouts from an app or YouTube or whatever machines were available at the gym. This journal helped me learn new exercises, the correct form, and form a routine! Highly recommend.

I've tried several workout regimes in the past but ended up quitting after a certain amount of time. I don't like the cost of a gym; online workout videos move too fast thru the exercises (and can cost too much). This journal is easy to use - you set your own pace and track your progress. There is a lot of helpful information and resources along the way. Plus, I never knew that you can effectively work your muscles with only your bodyweight! I have lifted weights and had personal trainers off and on for the last 30 years. I run regularly, but missed working out. Our budget is tight, but I need structure and guidance. I researched a few different options and went with this. It’s almost perfect, having prior knowledge to many of these movements helped me, but if someone was a complete novice I can see the frustration in having to “Google” the movement prior to working out. The ultimate thing that ever holds me back from working out is having to apply any real mental energy towards the planning part. This book helps with that!
