Bob's Burgers has been one of my favorite shows for a few years now. It isn't as popular as family guy, flashy as Archer, or as culturally daring as Venture Bros. but it has garnered a steady, loyal following through shockingly consistent quality. To those loyal fans, this is the book you've been dreaming of. All those terrific joke burgers have been lovingly collected into one book, that goes as far as to giving you the basics of making burgers AND fries, in easy to follow, step by step directions, that never talk down to the reader. On top of the great recipes the book is absolutely filled with amazing art work from the show. Yes, that's right; the cook book doubles as an art book. All this for, at the time of writing this review, under $12. Deals don't get better than this. If you love Bob's Burgers, this is a no-brainer. If you don't, that's because you haven't seen it. Take a second and go watch it, I'll wait....are you back? I know, right? It's amazing! I don't know why more people aren't talking about it either, but now that you know, why don't you buy this book? Not only are you getting awesome art, not only are you getting amazing recipes, but you're also supporting, what I'm assuming is, your new favorite show! Buy it now and thank me later. ... show more

    • Here's what I love about this cookbook

Here's what I love about this cookbook: when you get to the first few pages you see a new business that sells cookbooks and towards the end that same business is now called "The Tong Good-Buy" store. I love the fact that there's a whole page on how to make burger patties and another page on how to make fries, almost every page has an illustration that goes with the recipes. Whether it's what the burger looks like deconstructed or a character such as Linda wearing French clothes and drinking wine the illustrations are clever, funny, and make this book very special. Each time there's a burger of the day mentioned, it also tells you which episode that burger came from. For Example, the burger of the day "If Looks Could Kale" come from season 2 episode 7, "The Moody Foody". If you love this show, burgers, and/or being creative; this book is for you. Or you could give it to someone who likes this show as a birthday present or as a stocking stuffer if it'll fit in a stocking. ... show more

First things First, This cook book truly is "Pun for the whole Family" I know it's a "burger book" but the Fry recipe is probably the greatest thing about the book. People now demand these French Fries when they come over on burger night. We tried serving chips one night to save some time and our friends burned our patio furniture in pure disgust. Lesson learned...These fries are as addictive as Bacon wrapped Meth breaded in Doritos and deep fried in unicorn tears. Now on to the main course and subject matter of the book. Fans of the show will finally have the opportunity to try Bob's most iconic burger of the days. And these are some of the most creative and inventive recipes you will ever see, smell and taste. They are "well done" and thoroughly thought out and "rare-ly" disappointing. Our standout favorite would have to be the Sympathy for the Deviled Eggs Burger. But the fun is in the creation and trying new and exciting things! Bob would be honored to know how many lives he has touched with this book. I don't know if Oprah still has a book club, But she's missing out if this isn't on it. ... show more

This is an adorable book full of interesting burger recipes based on the iconic daily specials listed on the chalkboard of Bob's Burgers. I believe it only covers the first three seasons and I would happily buy one for subsequent seasons. It's a great little recipe book and a must for serious fans of the show. My personal favorites are "Baby You Can Chive My Car" and "Bet It All On Black Garlic." I've bought this for myself and given several others away as gifts. People see it on my shelf and have to check it out. ... show more

    • Legit Burger Recipes - You Don't Need To Know The Show To Appreciate

I like to wait for a while to review cook books, but after having this book for a while now and trying 5 different types of burger recipes (including a veggie burger) I can say this cookbook is amazing! Every single recipe we've tried has been a real treat. We've now made it a tradition to have a burger once a month using this cookbook. Make sure to read the opening pages to learn how to cook the perfect burger, I was always under the impression grilling was the way to go but ever since switching to a frying pan (flat top substitute!) our burgers have been juicy and delicious. Our favourite burgers are "Sympathy for the Deviled Egg", "Bet it all on Black Garlic", "The Sound and the Curry", "To Err is Cumin" and "I'm Gonna Get You Succotash". Needless to say, the Bob's Burgers theme is fantastic for the fans but even if you've never watched the show this cookbook is legitimately good. ... show more

I got this as a gift for my wife (aanndd, me too) and we love it! It's a fun, colorful and entertaining hard cover book. Along with the recipes, there are lots of pictures from the show and each specialty burger gives you a season and episode to watch that corresponds to the burger. So far we've tried 2 separate burgers from the book and they were both amazing! The first one had a Brussels sprout and pistachio topping (sounds weird but was delicious) and our second one had black garlic and Sriracha mayo; two things I have never tried but worked oh so well together! If you're a fan of this show, get the book! If you're a fan of burgers, get the book! If you're an adventurous eater and just want to try out some new food ideas, get the book! Even if you haven't seen the show, this book has plenty of ideas to try out. I can't recommend it enough. ... show more

I love the show and thought this would be a fun way to try some of the cool orders Bob creates! The book is well bound and the cover is really high quality as are the pages. Lots of great pictures from the show. And believe it or not, unlike a lot of humor how-to books the full recipes for basically every one of his burgers are in here! I was actually surprised how easy they are to follow. Each recipe clearly spells out how much of each item you need to complete each burger. Some are recipes are great and some are just okay. Though I was disappointed, usually humor books like this have something extra to go with the how to. A funny story or cartoon with them to give some value-added to the book. This doesn't have anything extra outside of the recipes. Pros: -Well Bound and printed -quality cover and paper -fun pictures through out -detailed and mostly delicious recipes inside. Cons: - A little pricey, particularly for the measuring set (full disclosure: I opted not to order the measuring set with the book) -its a humor cook book, and there was no humor or story to accompany the recipes. Overall, If you like to cook/ grill and like the show, I would recommend buying. If you are looking for more than recipes for unique burgers, I would just skip this. Thanks ... show more
