  • The anatomy of flowers
Format: Paperback
I’m an artist and I love to paint flowers this book is lovely.

  • Excellent book for beginners as well as experienced artists
Format: Paperback
I just received my copy and am very pleased. As a beginner in oils and acrylics, and a love for botanicals, this book is exactly what I was looking for! There are several painting projects that lead you through the process step by step. There are large, close up photographs of each step which is so helpful. The only criticism I have so far is that some of the projects do not include the photo reference. This makes it a bit more challenging to create certain effects or follow some of the directions. Maybe there was not enough space on the pages to include the photos. Otherwise, the bright vibrant colors, inclusion of several different artists, and variety of projects make this book an absolute treasure! ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed
Format: Paperback
This book may not be for the absolute beginner. Having painted for many years, I found it to be exactly what I was looking for as a guide to painting individual flowers. Also, the finished arrangements for still lifes and how to execute them are excellent not only as painting guides, but inspirations for arranging still life setups of my own flowers. I love this book, and plan to buy more copies as gifts for my artsy friends and relatives. ... show more

  • Not for Acrylic and Beginners
Format: Paperback
I was very disappointed in this book. Although it says acrylic, most of the writing is about oils. It also is not very beginner friendly. :(

  • Good Buy
Format: Paperback
I bought this to work in conjunction with art classes I am taking. I want to paint flowers and this book has a lot of good insight into light and shadow, how to block out your picture, lists of what you need to have, and step-by-step instructions on paint blending and how to work through each picture. ... show more

  • PAINTING
Format: Paperback
I accidently bought this book thinking it was another artist. This book could be better by providing image transfers and online videos to help in the painting. Maybe it's not really a learning beginners book. Beautiful images. It's just going to go into archive as not useful for me yet.
