Sometimes it takes more than one coat to fully cover, but that's ok. The metallics are really nice, and you have tons of options to choose from. It is hard to tell what the finished product will look like once the paint dries. I've seen many YouTube videos recommend painting the caps so you'll know what you're getting when you grab a bottle. ... show more

    • This painting set just has quantity not quality
The media could not be loaded. I’m going to cut to the chase, this paint set lacks quality. I was very sad when I got this painting set as I am painting my Warhammer 40K units, and to finally start trying to use these paints just to find out the paints don’t match the colors described on the bottle at all, and the paint is runny and smells horrible. ... show more

    • Some colors are not even close
I've watched some review videos on the new AP Speed Paints and have a huge paint project in work so thought why not give it a try... Over all not super happy with it =/ . Some of the colors do OK, mostly the dark reds and blues do alright but any of the lighter colors are really hit or miss when it comes to being the actual color defined on the bottle. White is more of a castle stone grey even on light surfaces (even on white as a test it is not white) . Most of the lighter tan colors on the box end up being the same as a sienna wash. Darker colors are better matches, the lighter colors are just a mess . pretty "meh" about the set esp for 250 dollars. ... show more

    • Box was damaged
Box was damaged upon arrival, the wrapping was torn, there was a hole in the box. I am not happy. Not only that, every paint bottle rattled around in the box so it is a jumbled mess.
