This is a great rake for kind of cleaning up outside spaces really well and not having to bend over too much! It gets everything! It is necessary to assemble it first. It isn't the right tool for every job but it can kind of be like a tilling tool. It isn't too heavy for me to hold for awhile and I like the grips on it.

The welds on this look very amature but they are holding up. It is simple to put together if you have a bit of common sense. The instructions to appear to show the prongs going on the outside but its obvious thats not a possibility. The handle is a lot sturdier than i though it would be. Does a good job at pulling up all the excess dead grass and unwanted smaller weeds. Do I feel this is the highest quality, no. But it gets the job done for now.

As I was assembling this rake I noticed that the hardware to attach the rake head to the handle, along with the bracket, seemed of questionable quality. The hardware is supposed to be of the carriage bolt variety, with a square neck so that it doesn't require the use of a tool to be used when the bolt is installed in hard to reach areas. The bracket itself has such a cutout, but the included hardware is cheap, garden-variety hardware with one of those Phillips heads that just doesn't work well with any screwdriver. No locking or split-ring washers included. This rake is simply not fit for purpose. The rake blades and the pole-head bracket are inferior/soft/thin metal and will not hold up to moderate or heavy use. I tested the rake on my backyard and within the first 10 minutes I tugged "too hard" on a lump of grass that apparently was stronger than the rake itself, causing the entire head to be bent to one side and one of the rake head blades to be bent. The rake is just about useless at this point as the welds will break soon by my estimation. I've included photos showing the type and amount of work I managed to accomplish before the rake started falling apart. The photos also show the damage to the rake. Look elsewhere if you want a tool that will last . . .

I got the taller version, which I was actually surprised at the height being taller than me. It's a good thing as it gives a better angle to get the teeth into the grass. The handle sections are made of aluminum which I liked, and I feel like the connecting sections could have been also, instead of plastic, so that will be a point of failure if it isn't hard enough plastic. The teeth though, for a product that states steel, doesn't give much confidence, as they're very easily bent. It doesn't take much effort to pinch them out of alignment, so if you hit any dips or rocks in your yard, this will bend easily. Good thing it's easy to bend back! And this came with two extra screws and nuts - i'm not sure where they're supposed to go? There's only 4 holes.
