This was the perfect size for my new chihuahua pup Bella. At the time of this picture she’s 9wks old and barely 7lbs. She fits perfectly within and had space to move around even with a small blanket and her HuggiePup next to her. Was comfortable for me to wear in front of my chest when I took it inside PetSmart to get her goodies. Weighed way less than I expected which is a huge plus. I got these for my two little cats to ride in on trips. It works great. Easy to assemble, easy to use, and quite spacious. Both of the cats fit in there fine, are able to lay down with some space to themselves, and are able to see me just fine through the day. I am pondering if I should just buy the second one now for when they get bigger or look for something that can carry them both for later but I think I might go with the idea of two. Great product. Fits 2 of my medium sized cats and the mesh is heavy duty and "claw-proof". The straps and the one that goes across the chest/back make it comfortable to wear so it isn't a strain on you. Lots of ventilation for my cats to breathe, and to see out of. Has two side pockets and a removable hard piece bottom so you can fold it back down for storage when not in use. I bought this backpack so I could wear it backwards and my kitty would feel like she was being held. That works great to soothe her nerves while we're walking. The design is incredibly sturdy. A car ride is still stressful for her but even after attacking the side panel with full claws and teeth the first time, the mesh doesn't even have a loose thread on it. It's very sturdy and I don't have to worry about her tearing a hole in it while she's angry at the world on the 10 minute drive to the vet. Other reviewers are definitely right, the bottom is incredibly hard. I made her a special seating pad out of some old towels and cotton fabric to make the ride a lot smoother for her.
