This RC car is a lot of fun once you get familiar with the functions of the remote control. It is marketed for children but adults that like cool electronic gadgets may enjoy playing with this as well. This RC car is so much more maneuverable than the RC cars of years back, if it gets stuck in a corner, it can move sideways like a crab to get out, or even better can crawl up the wall to flip itself out of the jam. As modern and fun as this product is, I was surprised that the car does not have a built-in charging USB port for the battery. A battery housing panel has to be removed to get to the battery, the battery has to be removed from the car to then connect it to a supplied USB charging cable. The battery does take a while to charge, so I would suggest purchasing a second battery to keep the fun going. The hand gesture device sort of works, but easier control is had by using the actual remote control. The lights and sounds are fun for a bit but will drain the battery faster. Overall, it is a fun toy, but what keeps it from being an outstanding value is the extra time that it takes to remove, recharge, and replace the battery in the car, where a simple built-in USB port would streamline the charging process. I had a remote quadcopter over 10 years ago with the same process for charging the battery, hard to believe that this method of charging the device battery is still being employed. Maybe there is an engineering reason for keeping with this design, or maybe it helps keep product cost down. Granted, for as much fun that this toy is, the price is certainly hard to beat.

I haven't had an RC car since I was a kid, so getting this was pretty exciting! :D I am having a lot of fun with it, my cats are completely intrigued by it and it is pretty powerful too! I've only used it indoors, on laminate, tile and carpet, as well as going down carpeted stairs and this little car handled it all without any issues! :D The remote is pretty straightforward, easy to use and has a few different features- including directional buttons, strafe, 3 'music' options, haha, that sound like something from a NES game. :D It also has a 'demo' mode, where it just automatically begins to show off all of it's abilities. :D The battery seems to last long enough for me to get my fill of RC fun- and it doesn't seem to drain just by sitting unused. I'd say it's probably good for maybe 30 minutes of continuous play- give or take... I can't say because I used it multiple times for small blocks of time, each time. It also has this cool feature where it lays flat and gets a bit longer, or it 'arches' up, making it easier to climb over things... :D It also has a 'hand strap' controller- that's interesting and will take some getting used to, including being aware of your random movements, since it detects ALL movements. :D Could be a fun lesson of 'coordination and control', while you play with a funny little car. :D I would have to say, if you like fun 'toys' like this and you like the look of this one- I think it's worth a buy. It's entertaining for sure- a 'wholesome' type of entertaining that reminds you of simpler times (but with more advanced tech). :D

We have a large number of stunt cars that we use for children’s charity events, and this is one of the cars that we use on our obstacle course. This is a nice lightweight, beginner stunt car. It seemed to have longer battery life than many of the other cars (for remote control cars the range was 20-45 minutes of continuous use, and this was closer to 45 minutes). It doesn’t have quite as many features as some of the other cars that flip and rotate, but it had plenty of power to overcome all of our sand, grass, gravel, and wooden ramp obstacles, and it didn’t sustain any damage when it bumped into other cars, it just rolled over and the child controlling it could easily continue down the rest of the course. The remote is fairly simple to use, even though there’s a little bit of a learning curve with the side to side functions, and could be easily learned by a grade-school student. We had 4 and 5 year olds navigating it around the course with only a little assistance from adults.

This rc car is really a lot of fun. I played with this with my kids and it was a lot of fun, though we have only tested it inside. It is fast and does all kinds of moves, including spinning around and can move sideways! There are realistic car sounds and other sound effects and music or you can turn off all the sound effects, which is a nice feature. It is easy to charge the battery that comes with the car and the motion remote. The regular remote controller takes 2 AA batteries and functions really well. The kids did better than me with the motion remote, but it seems easy enough for me to figure out with a little more time. The motion sensor on the remote is very sensitive and does pick up any movement, whether you meant it for the car or just moving you hand. It does go fast and is really fun to watch the movements and tricks. Kids and adults would enjoy this rc car and have fun with it. It is a good value at the $29.99 price point.
