This RC car is a lot of fun once you get familiar with the functions of the remote control. It is marketed for children but adults that like cool electronic gadgets may enjoy playing with this as well. This RC car is so much more maneuverable than the RC cars of years back, if it gets stuck in a corner, it can move sideways like a crab to get out, or even better can crawl up the wall to flip itself out of the jam. As modern and fun as this product is, I was surprised that the car does not have a built-in charging USB port for the battery. A battery housing panel has to be removed to get to the battery, the battery has to be removed from the car to then connect it to a supplied USB charging cable. The battery does take a while to charge, so I would suggest purchasing a second battery to keep the fun going. The hand gesture device sort of works, but easier control is had by using the actual remote control. The lights and sounds are fun for a bit but will drain the battery faster. Overall, it is a fun toy, but what keeps it from being an outstanding value is the extra time that it takes to remove, recharge, and replace the battery in the car, where a simple built-in USB port would streamline the charging process. I had a remote quadcopter over 10 years ago with the same process for charging the battery, hard to believe that this method of charging the device battery is still being employed. Maybe there is an engineering reason for keeping with this design, or maybe it helps keep product cost down. Granted, for as much fun that this toy is, the price is certainly hard to beat. ... show more

This is more challenging to control for small children than I would have liked, but they have had a blast playing with it anyway. This thing moves in ways that many remote cars didn’t when my children were young. It navigated numerous types of terrain, but I would not recommend it on beach sand. It’s relatively well-made and has eye-catching aesthetics. The lights make it fun to play with at night or dusk. It plays music that is appealing to young kids. Less one star for the awkwardness and nuisance to get the battery out. On another note, the battery life is good when charged. This toy is highly recommended. ... show more
