We are smoothie junkies in our house. Over the years, I've gotten our son used to all kinds of weird things in his smoothies in addition to the usual strawberries, bananas and yogurt: kale, asparagus, celery, flax, chia seeds, nutritional yeast, and nuts and seeds I find that seeds blend a little better in smoothies than nuts, and pumpkin seeds are not only a powerhouse when it comes to nutrition, but I find the Terrasoul seeds to always be fresh and tasty. I much prefer salted seeds/nuts when I am just eating them as a snack but these have a great taste and I love eating them with dried cranberries and cheese cubes. They are soft enough to blend well in smoothies and have a very mild flavor so they disguise well. I also throw them in my oatmeal and in my oatmeal raisin cookies. So many ways to add some extra nutrition to your daily diet!
