  • Very nice :)
I Decided to take a chance on one of these packs for a recent 7 day hike and I wasn’t disappointed. I went for the 65 litre version on a toss up between storage space and weight. Its such a lightweight backpack for its size, weighing just over 2kg and it easily carried all the kit I needed, either on the inside or lashed to the outside of the pack. I spent quite a while checking the specs, comparing them to other brands and reading reviews before I decided to order one of these. Generally the reviews for this pack were very good while I was researching it(all 4 stars and above) but when I came to order one I saw that there was a negative review about the metal frame and buckles. I started second guessing whether this was the pack for me, but don’t let it put you off. I can honestly say that I’m very pleased with this backpack and the negative points mentioned in that review are not a problem on mine, and when it arrived I knew I had made a good choice. The frame is made from two aluminium bars which will flex slightly. This means you can bend it or mould it to the curve of your back, so you get a much more comfortable fit. The buckles are indeed plastic but this is the norm these days and as far as I can see they are the same quality as most other brands and work perfectly fine. If you’re looking for a really lightweight pack that’s comfortable and good value for money then I highly recommend this pack. If your after something more durable, tougher that’s going to be able to carry very heavy loads and take some serious punishment then I would suggest looking at something from Osprey or Lowe Alpine. Ok, they're a lot more expensive and in most cases a lot heavier but you get what you pay for in life. ... show more

  • Really good backpack, love it.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this backpack because I was going on a pretty hefty camping trip and knew I needed extra room. This backpack way surpassed the expectations I had, especially pertaining to size. I am 6”0” and this is pretty large on me, but it fits well and I love the different straps to help keep it in place and offer great support . This backpack contains: As extension collar with drawstring that can expand the main compartment There are also is hip-belt pockets, a bladder sleeve , a front pocket, a rain cover compartment , and two mesh bottle pouches A front sleeping bag compartment with a divider. A torso-length adjustment. There are stage height adjusters at the back that have velcro to secure. There is a sternum strap with an emergency whistle buckle A deep and dense padded shoulder strap on each shoulder. And hip-belt to help ensure you get nice support and circulation. There is also a trekking pole attachment and bottom loops for ice axe or hiking poles. There are hooks in main compartment for your keys or water bladder. On both sides of the shoulder straps there are D-shape hooks, in which small items can be attached . I am extremely pleased with the amount of items I can pack in here and attached in , from flashlights ,first aid kids , meals and water, sleeping bag, trekking/hiking poles, clothes , and more. The quality of the backpack is amazing , its made extremely well and does a great job at offering good back support while hiking and walking on trails. ... show more

  • Good backpack for the money. I am pleased with my purchase.
Color: Green 65l
I am very happy with this purchase. I have used this backpack twice... once on an overnight in the Arkansas Mountains 18 miles covered with about 30 pounds of gear. Held up great. Second trip was 30 miles over three days. It seems to be well made and sturdy. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is that five stars will be determined over long term durability. But so far so good. It's very comfortable to wear. It has lots of extra straps to attach additional gear on the outside. For instance I carry my tent, and water crossing shoes strapped to the outside of the pack. Not one minor issue yet and those two trips were intense with lots of dropping the backpack on rocks while taking breaks. I can pack more into this pack than I need to take. Again, about 30 pounds of gear and food on the first trip... then got a little more efficient and down to about 27 pounds of gear on trip #2. ... show more

  • Good Backpack for the Cost
Color: Green 65l
I used this for a 2 night backpacking trip with my daughters and it was a great value option! The material is good quality, there is decent padding on the hip belt, lots of pockets and I like that it has an adjustment to move the shoulder straps up and down, plus strap tighteners, so you can get a proper fit for your height and torso length. Not as comfortable as the REI quality packs for 200+, but I was happy with it for the cost. ... show more

  • Pleasant Surprise
I have to admit, that I was a little leary of not knowing who or what Terra Peak brand was about. I got this pack, after an exhaustive search and research for what I want in a pack. I was looking for a large(er) capacity, but still keep the pack light. Hit the trail this last weekend...4000 ft of elevation gain with a total pack weight of 32 lbs. This pack performed beautifully. I am impressed with how everything I need sits in the pack. I really like the belt tightening mechanism...really nice and easy to adjust. The pack sat great on my back going both up and down the mountain. So far, I'd definitely recommend this pack. Looking forward to more trips in the near future with it. ... show more

  • A great overall backpack
Color: Green 65l
I read reviews that cautioned about the zippers failing but I have had no issues with this backpack. It is very well made and it holds a lot. I used it to hike Mt. LecConte last fall and had no issues. I had this thing stuffed and it handled the stress no problem. I am 6'4" and the shoulder straps adjusted to fit my height no problem. I was very comfortable for the trek. I guess time will tell how well it holds up as I continue to use it, but so far so good. ... show more
