I bought this after reading a lot of reviews for a college dorm student. It is a bit more $ - but it works great! It is sturdy and has a good design - especially the side pockets to hold the detergent. The straps are great - to enable my son to transport from dorm to laundry room easily.

We have just moved, and I know have to go down to levels of stairs and through three large rooms to the far end of the basement to get to the laundry machines. I have a sway back due to scoliosis, so while the wait of a hamper/basket is not too much, have to carry large items in front is very stressing for my back. Hunching over, on the other hand, is great. So, this is almost a necessity to have. I do wish it had a liner. I would like to be able to transport the cleaned laundry in it. I will get a trash bag, but it won't be as conveient as a detachable liner would be. I will come back and edit my comment after I hae used this for awhile to rate longevity.

It's huge, it's durable, it's a backpackπ― The ONLY drawback is you can get a lotta weight in it, between your loads, and detergent, softener, bleach, & such...getting it on & off is the only problem...but honestly, that's a small "problem". I brought this hamper to be used for my mother who is in a nursing home which I do her laundry for her. She suffers from dementia which I brought for several reasons: - stands on its own on the floor - the straps on the backpack are padded and strong - it can hold a lot of weight of clothes. - very comfortable for you back - materials of the backpack are very strong I would highly recommend this product.
