We bought this for college and at first I thought it was too big but I was wrong. Its the perfect size for him to bring home all his laundry, sheets etc. It stands up well in the closet to act as a hamper and then at the end of the week he just drawstrings it up and its ready to go. My wife is 5’1” and has to walk a few minutes. She reports that the bag has ample space for her needs and has no problems with transport or quality. I checked this myself and what I like is the sternum strap to distribute the weight of the bag instead of on the shoulders. I wish it had a waist strap to keep the weight on the core instead of the upper body but hopefully my wife isn’t carrying that much load! ... show more

I bought this after reading a lot of reviews for a college dorm student. It is a bit more $ - but it works great! It is sturdy and has a good design - especially the side pockets to hold the detergent. The straps are great - to enable my son to transport from dorm to laundry room easily.
