I seldom take the time to write reviews, especially if I like something, but this KVM performance is so much better than my old one, I had I have to rave about it. Out of the box the unit feels like quality though it could be a bit bigger/heavier to support all the display cables that come out of the back without tilting, but that is a minor gripe. What was really astounding is how sharp the video quality is through this unit. My old KVM said it supported 4k but it was marginal at best on my desktop and on my laptop dock I had to run 2k because the monitors would not consistently stay synched. With both my desktop and laptop the old unit flickered and fussed with regularity. I was even considering buying new monitors. As soon as I plugged this unit in all displays locked up at 4k and they did so very fast without even a secondary flicker. On top of that the manufacturer pro-actively reached out to me to make sure I knew I had full 24/7 support if I needed it as soon as the switch shipped. Who even does that ever? All I have to say is if you need a KVM switch, save some time and aggravation, stop looking and just buy this one. You won't regret it. ... show more

    • Inconsistent 4K@120Hz support

This switch works very well for some cases, but in others it's not usable. I have dual Acer Predator XB3 monitors, set up for 4K@120Hz. I have an M2 Macbook Pro and a Windows 10 desktop with a Nvidia RTX 3090, both of which handily support this use case. The Mac works well, but the Windows desktop is unusable. At 120Hz, one monitor flickers terribly. This does not seem to be a cabling issue (both monitors have identical cable runs, I've swapped cables in and out to confirm it's not a bad cable, and I've shortened the cables as much as possible in case it's a length issue). Drivers are up to date, GSYNC has been tried disabled and enabled, custom resolutions with different pixel timings have been loaded, nothing changes. Video shows this effect in action. Note the loud popping noises; the switch causes the display to make this noise with each flicker, despite the internal speaker being disabled -- I can't imagine that's good for the monitor. If the manufacturer has a solution to this issue I'd be happy to try it again, but as-is I'd recommend passing this one up. ... show more

Everything worked perfectly out of the box except the hotkeys. I haven't got hotkeys working, and also have not been able to disable the beep when switching between the two sources. I don't think the hotkey/beep issue is enough to reduce from 5 star down to 4 star, considering I had zero other issues. I've owned and used the produce for 6 hours so far, and will update the review is something goes awry down the road. Update: Awesome customer support!!! I got the hotkeys working after I got the mouse wheel double click working...AND the beep is gone too!!. My problem was I was pressing all the hotkey together as a group then releasing them together. The correct technique is each key individually. Right [ctrl] then right [ctrl] then [b] then [enter] to remove the beep... not at the same time. Thanks again. ... show more

    • Screen tearing and black outs happening

The KVM switch itself is high quality but does not work as expected for my setup. I’m using 2 240hz 1440p monitors. When it works, it’s great. When playing games my main monitor would black out for a second or two every few minutes or so. I also noticed some screen tearing but it wasn’t too bad.

Had a fairly complicated set up (multiple hdmi and dvi adapters on one side, docking station on the other, more adapters on monitors). Had some interesting issues. Reached out to support. They replied within 30 minutes with a thorough analysis of my set up and the potential cause of issues. This was NOT a canned response. They even offered to send me cables/adapters they thought would resolve it. Was able to get through it and everything has been working great. Bought this so that I could use my work laptop at home with my personal monitors, keyboard and mouse. It worked mostly with my home PC, (UW 144Hz monitor would flicker/tear or the colors weren't right. But it did display the connected monitors and the keyboard and mouse worked through the KVM. Would not display at all on my work laptop. The keyboard and mouse still worked but I couldn't get any display to connect. Worst part about the product is that I can't even return or replace the product, Amazon won't let me do anything at all. Keep your money, stay far away from this product and seller. ... show more

Pros: + 6 DisplayPort cables and 2 USB cables were included; at this price I didn't expect cables at all. (Level1Techs' equivalent 2 computer 2 display solution costs $449 without cables) + Had no problems driving a pair of ASUS PG32UQX panels at 4k/144Hz, where I've had problems with other KVMs causing those to drop out. Not many KVMs support full DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth. + No keyboard hotkeys or similar are necessary for full configuration: if you use a tenkeyless for example you won't be stuck unable to change settings due to not having a Num Lock key. The only "setting" is turning hotkey control on or off and there is a dedicated button and indicator for this on the front panel. + Overall build quality leaves nothing to be desired. Cons: - I had some compatibility problems with the Cable Matters USB Type-C <-> DisplayPort cables I use with my laptop; the DisplayPort jacks are so close together that relatively narrow cables must be used. (The bundled ones work of course, and this does let them make the KVM itself smaller) - All USB ports for peripherals are on the front, which is less than ideal for something like a webcam where you want the cable to effectively parallel one of the monitor's DisplayPort cables. - They don't make a 4 computer version :) Other notes: * I didn't take off stars for any of these cons because they are clearly visible in the original listing, and even if not it would be really nitpicky at this price. * The included DisplayPort cables have big ferrite beads on both ends. ... show more

    • Stopped working after 3 months

It was great at first, however after two months, the keyboard and mouse inputs have stopped working. They keyboard input has stopped working completely, and the mouse input intermittently crashes (half dozen times a day) and requires the mouse to be unplugged and replugged. This was the first step to failure for the keyboard, so I expect the mouse input to fail completely soon. It's unfortunate, as I searched for months for a well reviewed KVM switch that would allow for use of my work laptop and my home pc. I cannot recommend this switch. The seller, Seaville, is uncontactable - their Amazon profile has zero information and just points back to Amazon. ... show more
