I bought an expensive mattress a few years ago. It was supposed to be a firm pillow top. When my husband and I cuddled, the bed sank in. Even if we slept apart, our bodies would ache. We needed something firm, but soft for my boney hips (I'm a side-sleeper). This bed is perfect! I've only slept in it one night and I'm so impressed that I just HAD to leave a review. I think it might be a little cumbersome to unravel the bed alone, but with 2 people it was easy to do. I cut it around the entire top edge of the bed so I could slide the plastic out from under the mattress. It springs up very quickly. When I laid on it today (24 hours later), the top has expanded a bit and it's even MORE comfortable than it was last night. It's the perfect depth and I think my sheets will stay on it nicely. If you're looking for a firm mattress that doesn't cave with a lot of weight, this is the one for you!

This mattress come vacuum packed in a box and it was easy to unwrap and easy to handle. Very Happy with this mattress. it's a full 12inches think and is very comfortable. The mattress is pretty firm, which is fine with me but not for everyone. It opens easily, a bit of a wrestling match, but not too bad. I'm happy with it. If you want to return it (I didn't) and you think you can stick it back in the box, forget it.
