- BEST QUALITY CANVAS: Our unique polyester tent material is an 11 oz canvas with a breaking strength of 449 lbs (warp direction) and 382 lbs (fill direction), making it significantly tougher than traditional canvas. The tear strength is 67 lbs (warp) and 40 lbs (fill); this is roughly double that of the Sunforger canvas material used by other tent companies.
- HIGHLY DURABLE AND WATERPROOF: Higher break and tear strength than the other materials available. More resistant to ultraviolet rays, will outlast cotton canvas and does not shrink like cotton. Our tent does not absorb water like cotton since it is made from a waterproof fabric and is seams sealed. It also doesn't require a rainfly.
- REINFORCED CORNERS: Anywhere the tent comes in contact with the poles there is at least two layers of canvas. The four main corners have velcro and tie shut. The velcro corners help eliminate the issue of the corners ripping while taking the tent on and off the frame.
- SLEEPING CAPACITY: If youre an outfitter guiding in hunters and each one of them has their own cot and needs some elbow room : 6 people can sleep inside the tent (with wood stove) and 8 people can sleep inside the tent (with no wood stove). However, If you are on a boy scout or family trip and everyone can cozy up tight, you will find you can fit a few more people into your canvas tent.
- SETUP: Requires two or three people to pitch the tent. First of all the tent came 4 days earlier than expected. I have tent camped/hunted for many years in wall tents and for the price ease of setup and size this is the best value on the market. The tent material feels very durable and is water resistant. The test will be this years elk hunt in late October in Eastern Oregon. Making your own tent poles out of 3/4" EMT couldn't be easier and all of the connections look to be well made. I would definitely recommend to others who are in the market for a wall tent. Pictures to follow after elk season. Well as some elk seasons go the elk had different plans than than we did. No elk but the tent was awesome. We had heavy freezing rain the second night and temps in the low 20s most nights we were there. I also got the heavy duty cylinder stove and it kept the tent very warm. The vents in the peak were something I wasn't aware of (probably because I didn't read the description good enough) but thank god they were there because the old guy in charge of the fire took his job VERY seriously. At one point the temp in the tent was 85 and the outside temp was 27. After using the tent I can't recommend it enough AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.

This canvas tent is amazing. The frame and Guy rope have room for improvement. I purchased the 13×20 large canvas tent. I live in Nevada so durability and all wearher was important. I decided to go camping the weekend after my tent was delivered. After tent was sent up, we were standing inside. The wind started blowing about 30 to 35 mph, in the Nevada desert winds can get high. Although we couldn't feel the wind we decided we better reinforce things because anyway. Before we were able to do this, my tent decided to go air born across the field through sage brush, dried out bushes and other damaging debris. I thought my tent was destroyed. We retrieved the tent and stretched it out. There was minor damage, 2 small rips and the seams came apart at one corner. We repaired it and good as new. Live this tent. Worth every penny

I recently purchased a 13' X 16' tent with angle kit and am very impressed. I had been thinking about getting my own tent since last elk season (2015) and had been looking for one since March (2016). I spent a lot of time searching the the internet and looked at traditional heavy canvas tents from other manufacturers. However, I had trouble justifying the cost for the more traditional canvas tent. Additionally, you get a lot less (space) for a lot more money. Admittedly, I was a little reluctant to try something different, but have been very pleasantly surprised. This is a great tent for the money and Justin was very helpful with any questions that I had. The make it yourself frame with 3/4" electrical conduit is very rigid and a huge money saver. The 13' X16' tent is plenty of tent for 3 or 4 adults with gear, stove, etc. to move around in and sleep comfortably. The angle kit and wire support system are a great idea and keep the tent sturdy during windy days and nights. The ridge flaps are also another great feature to vent the tent in case it gets smokey as you try to warm the stove up. I run a public hunting program on a large tract of land in SE Colorado so I see lots of gear. This tent is well designed, of high quality and well worth your money.

We just set it up in the backyard and are so impressed by the quality. It's already snowed a good 6 inches, melted, rained and then snowed again since these pictures and not a drop inside. The zippers, stakes, material are all great quality. My husband can't wait to go set it up in the backcountry. I'll try to do an update after we've used it a few more times, but I have no doubt we'll be loving this tent for a long time to come.

I did a lot of research prior to buying the Elk Mountain Tent. They had the best prices and the best tents out of all of them I looked at. They also had the most included in the price. The windows and the angle kit. I bought the 13 x 20 model. I haven't used it in field yet but will be doing so in the next month. I cut the poles for it using the directions that came with the tent. It was very easy to do and way cheaper than I expected. I have put the tent up and it was very easy to do with 2 people. I would absolutely recommend buying an Elk Mountain Tent to anyone looking to buy a great one.

Been in a couple of canvas tents over the years. One was even homemade by a buddy of mine. This is a great tent and the material is better I think; I really like how light it is. If snow is in the forecast, you will want some type of extra support for the ridge pole so keep that in mind. For me, I like that its a lighter setup and I can add additional support when needed but I don't always have to haul a heavy tent frame. Its been great so far!

Very nice, well manufactured tent. I used an alanak tent before, and this is by far superior. Very warm even without the woodstove. I used it last weekend and it was about 33 degrees at night, it did rain a bit and had no problem with leaks either. I'll be using it on my elk hunt the next 2 weeks. Highly recommend
