What I was looking for is something that would keep my feet warm when I am winter camping — an extra layer beyond just using my sleeping bag. For that purpose, these were perfect! Or nearly perfect; I do feel they could benefit from some kind of drawstring thing at the top. In the night, it would sometimes feel as though they were at risk of sliding off my feet, perhaps in my sleep, and that feeling would go away if there was a simple drawstring so I could cinch it down a bit. That said, they never did actually slide off on the two nights of that camping trip. Where you could quickly become disappointed is if you are planning to use these as some sort of footwear for walking around camp after removing your boots. These are nothing different than, effectively, baby sleeping bags — same kind of down lining, same sort of exterior surface. I can't imagine these could survive even a single walk through a camp that has gravel or sticks. And again, I never intended them to be walk around shoes — just a "force multiplier" for keeping my feet warmer on cold nights inside my sleeping bag.

They took about 2 months to come from China by ship for delivery. Way too long. I thought the down filling would be thicker and more full. It seems to barely be in there. Therefore, my feet are cold below 40Fdegrees. I had to get an Xlarge size because I have wide feet and am overweight. They are not snug because they are too long - I believe snugness is key to keeping feet warm (they act like wrapping feet in a sleeping bag). Of course, all of this is not the fault of the boots, but my size. These fit my large calves without the elastic binding too tightly (I am 5'4", 270 pounds). However, the elastic is there, and so I have to wear thick winter socks as cushioning (I would do this anyway due to it is cold outside in winter). If I were to try booties like this again, I would look for some with a tread on the bottom. You can skate on the nylon of these- very slippery and dangerous to walk in.

The size was too small, but also noticed there is no stuffing in the toes. When I get cold feet it's my toes that are cold not anything else. I need ones with down on the ends of the toes.

I highly recommend these slippers for the person you know whose feet are always cold! My elderly bedridden relative loves these for keeping her feet warm even with poor circulation. She has 2 pair, one for in bed and one for off the bed so her bedding stays clean. I was worried they might be slippery to walk around but they seem fine a few months later. I do handwash these because feather down can escape the seams with too much movement, but I don't need to wash them often and they are just as good after a handwash and air dry.
