Do these work: Yes. I like to wear shorts(damn near year round, even with snow on the ground) so I got these after reading some of the other reviews. Here's me 2 cents on these: I have used them 3 times so far, and yes they do work to keep all the crap off my legs, including the gravel. I'm in East TN, weather the last week was nice 70-80 cool breeze blowing about 7-9 mph. Shorts on, shirt off, just don't get those two mixed up. Pro's: keeps grass and gravel off the legs, comfortable lining inside, and a good vinyl on the outside. The strap is adjustable, there is a zipper on the side. While some reviews say the don't stay up and some say they do, I could not zip the zipper all the way up, however if I made the strap tight enough they did stay up above the knee. I did get hot wearing these, vs not wearing them, but that is going to be a personal thing, beside make sure you are well hydrated before going on your adventure with these. A couple of times I had to readjust them upward over the knee, but I'm on the side of mountain with 3 switchbacks and 1200 ft of driveway to weedeat, walked forward and backwards in them and they did work. I could not have the strap attached or the zipper up when I got on the 4 wheeler or in the side by side. They did fit over my jump boots, had to put them on first then the boots,(a good broke in pair of jump boots works well out here). One thing that would really make these a great pair is if the company would sew in a small rubber band inside the top, like the one Mava uses on their compression knee sleeves. So for the price, yes they work, not sure if they are a one size fits all, I get the zipper up about a 1/3 of the way. So if you are on the fence about these, give em a try, and let everyone know how they work or not work

The media could not be loaded. Good material lightweight easy on off. I've been looking for something simple like this for the longest time. In the summer heat i don't like wearing long pants to weed eat. This is also priced right at $13. No thought needed just get em. Like anything that just straps around your leg it's gonna have to be on tight or it will slide down. Maybe they will make another version that covers the shoe and with a strap that can be hooked to waist or something. But for what this is how it works and for the money it's exactly what I was looking for. Simple low cost.

This product is a waste of money. They do not stay up even when tightening up the straps. They should have put more thought into it and put strong elastic at the top and bottom.

they were a bit difficult to put on and kept sliding down. Not the best design. Did protect the lower legs though, so that was a plus.
