Appears to be of quality and well made. Comes with 4mm bullet connectors and the rotor on top of being 6 pole is also 18mm in diameter. Should have lots of torque. Will comment more on performance and cogging once I get chance to run it. Did run it a couple times, it has very smooth and usable low-end power. Have it paired with a castle sidewinder 3 esc programed with the castle link. As far as cogging goes it seemed very minimal (not enough to bother me or affect my drive style) and has adequate speed to bash with. Very happy with this motor. ... show more

  • Good quality motor
Great fit.(fy-01 ALL metal car including scx10 metal axle... HEAVY CAR) NO cogging. Usable power, torque. Not super fast folks. Great all around.

  • Good power, long run time
Someone asked about the connector size so i figured I’d post a pic. It has 4mm male connectors, which fits Mamba X esc and the 4mm female connectors sold on amazon. I may as well also write a review. It has good power, definitely an upgrade from brushed, while being cheaper than a censored setup. I noticed double the run time compared to my brushed setup, and it stayed quick until I hit LiPo cutoff. Whereas my brushed motor got noticeably slower towards 11.5 volts. I have it in a twin hammers, geared pretty fast on 3s. and it doesn’t cog, although it is tricky to make it crawl really slow. Mine is paired to a hobby wing max10 so possibly it would crawl better with a sidewinder 4. It is worth the $ and I would recommend it! ... show more

  • 2400kv is fast and torque filled
Very fast and torque filled motor for its rating, for a crawling or trail truck application it is significantly fast with a touch of the controller. I was geared low at first or the pinion/spur gears on the transmission, 13/87 and went as high as 28/87 and was still more than I would like. Not saying that it is a bad thing, but I will go with the lower of the two soon and save the 2400 for another project. ... show more

  • Excellent performance
If your looking to transition to brushless from brushed power in your crawling rig, this is it. Installed this in a heavy scxii with brass and alloy axles and even with a speedy gear ratio and cheap esc, motor doesn't cog. I usually bump up to an 1/8 motor with longer can, but this motor will fit in a stock crawler trans without modification. Best bang for your buck. Will buy another. ... show more

  • Want a brushless crawler? Buy a 6 pole tenshock!
I went through a few different more expensive brushless motors before finding these and now I have two of the three, and they're freaking fantastic! My SCX10 (1750kv) has enough torque to push me around and I'm not a little guy, and my TRX-4 (2400kv) works fantastic in lo or high gear with plenty of speed even on just 2s. ... show more
