To start, this is real tung oil and does not have a stinky smell. It goes on easily but does require a good rub off to avoid a slightly sticky surface and requires a longer drying time. I'd give it 2-3 days to dry between coats. It seals very well with a slight satin finish. I used it both over stained door trim and a butcher board. Overall, I like the product but do not apply generously since the tongue oil goes a long way. ... show more

    • Very Smooth Application – Gives Wood Surfaces A New Look

This Tung Oil is so easy to use, and it goes on really smoothly. I mostly ordered this to treat some of our cutting boards and small butcher’s block. However, when I tried it outside on our wood table on the patio, it really gave the wood a new look. It seems to absorb fairly quickly into dry wood surfaces, and I can tell that I may have to go over the table with a second coat, but it really does change the appearance and kind of brings the old faded boards back to life, so to speak. This is just a small 9 ounce bottle, but a little seems to go a long ways, especially on surfaces that just need some “freshening up.” I’m pretty happy with it so far. Next spring, when the snow is all gone, I am hoping to try this outside on some surfaces other than wood. I’m excited to see how it will do. ... show more

    • Good product and an economical price
I use tongue oil as a finish on my canes and some gun stocks. I've also used it on furniture to great success. I've always been a fan of tung oil and this was a economical price . GOOD PRODUCT !!

I haven't let this finish sit long enough to be able to test how waterproof it may be, but it definitely seals and I feel like it strengthens. This is the first I've had of its kind so I cant touch on subject of price. Seems to be quality made and surprisingly, 9 oz will cover much more than I was expecting. Props for the mini container being cute. Lol ... show more
