I mixed some with his usual kibble to get his stomach used to it. He actually picked through it all and only ate the Tender & True pieces! He even tried to tear into the bag, which I’ve only seen him do with the crazy expensive air dried food (that stuff is great but it’s not organic and the price is about $30/lb). I was buying a good quality kibble before but really wanted to find something better for him that wasn’t going to cost half my paycheck. My bitch is very hard to please lol, seriously she is super picky; i’ve been looking for an organic kibble that she likes, finally I found it 🙌🏽 I’m sticking to this kibble.

My dogs are very picky. I've tried so many brands, wasted a lot of money. I tried this kind and they eat it every time.

    • My dog likes it he looks great and my vet bills are down
I raised my corgi on organic food. What a difference. I always gave my dogs quality food but I thought organic was just too expensive and wouldn’t make that much of a difference. I was wrong. Organic food makes a great difference. Quality ingredients as Tender and True provides make a tremendous difference. My corgi is 14 1/2 years old and he’s doing great. People regularly tell me he looks three years younger than his current age. People exclaim over his thick, shiny wonderful coat. I figure what extra I’ve spent in dog food I have more than saved on veterinary bills. Personally I’d rather have a happy healthy dog and spend the money on his food than at a veterinary hospital.     • Harmful ingredients
Part of this is my fault for not reading more carefully, but some of the main ingredients of this grain free food are known for causing heart issues. I was excited it was organic and even more so animal welfare certified but why would I give my dog something that’s been shown to severely increase the risk of potentially fatal heart conditions? My dog seemed to love the food and ate more than normal, but every time he finished eating he wouldn’t stop licking his chops for a solid hour like the food was really gritty or something. ... show more

    • excellent dog food, even for the most finicky eaters
old, quit eating dog food. She was not getting sufficient nutrition from chicken and turkey alone. I went to an expensive grocery store and tried 5 or 6 different foods. She loved the Tender and True dry chicken and liver food. Her fur color looked brighter and she had more energy with this food. This dog had multiple diseases to cope with and has since passed away. But even though she had many challenges she still ate this dog food up to her last day. I really highly recommend this food for all healthy and health challenged dogs. ... show more

I wanted to like it but our pup said no way. We put Stella & Chewy’s freeze dried powder on top of his food because he’s already kind of a picky eater. But he would pick around the kibbles or spit them out after he got what he wanted off there. Also, pretty expensive for a small bag. It was worth a shot though. ... show more
