I've had a couple other (different brand) anti-fatigue mats in my kitchen for several years now and I don't know if it's that they've worn out and the material has broken down over time or what, but this mat is 100 times more comfortable than the old ones. My old mats were NOT cheap, but this Tempur-Pedic mat is like a dream compared to my two old ones! It's about the same thickness, but it's more dense yet cushion-y and soft and provides such relief while standing at the sink and counter. My back and feet don't ache nearly as much after a couple hours of washing dishes, chopping, and cooking while standing on this mat. I really like that the edges are beveled all the way around so I don't trip over them because there's no sudden transition. The surface is smooth and easy to clean, but not slippery, and the mat stays put and doesn't move around. My only problem is that one is not enough! I really need to order one or two more of these to have coverage for all of the areas in my kitchen that I stand a lot. ... show more

I purchased this for use with my standing desk at home, but my wife claimed it for the kitchen sink. So now I'm ordering another one. I’ve had herniated spinal discs from a rear car accident for years and recently had a full hip prosthesis replacement. This anti-fatigue mat (42"×20") does relieve the pressure in my hips and spine. The mat is medium-soft and supports the body well. Quality is good, and Im certain this product will last with a Tempur-Pedic seal of approved materials. The mat feels rubbery when standing on it. It has to be so, in order to be anti-slippery. However, I am bare-footed at home, and my feet sweat quite easily. Standing on the mat cools my feet during the day. Now I can stand at my desk much longer than ever thought. Sometimes, when my back hurts, I go to the office and stand on this tempur-pedic mat, and it really helps to take all the stress off my back. I wish I could have had these 15 years ago. I highly recommend this mat for anyone who has any type of pain standing in the office or kitchen. A very happy customer! ... show more

We've had it in front of the sink for weeks and it is great! It holds onto the tile really well, doesn't slide at all. (I even pushed it with the vacuum and it didn't move.) I stood on it for hours yesterday scrubbing dishes and my back actually felt better after. It doesn't stain, it hasn't shown any wear at all, and the color fits our kitchen perfectly. We have several mats of this type,but I think this is the nicest one so far. It's wonderfully squishy and comfortable to stand on. Other mats often have a shell like paint coating that cracks over time, but this Tempur-Pedic one does not have that, which is a definite plus. The bottom is odd. It's not sticky to the touch, but it sticks very well to the vinyl in our kitchen. There will be no shifting around with this mat. They shipped it flat in a box, not rolled up like most other mats. That was a definite advantage since it stayed flat right away and did not curl up. There was a strong paint smell when I took it out of the box, but it quickly dissipated. I ordered this anti-fatigue mat to use in front of my kitchen sink to relieve back and leg soreness from standing for long periods of time washing dishes or working at the sink. It definitely helps! It provides firm, but comfortable support compared to standing on hard tile. It also looks very nice and is easy to wipe clean with a damp rag or paper towel. It's bigger (longer) and more supportive than the one I had purchased before from a membership warehouse. Memory foam mats "feel" soft and comfy, but don't provide the support that this thick 1" PU mat provides. The difference is noticeable. While the quality and look are super great, my only complaint is the value: the price seems a little high for a kitchen mat. ... show more

Usually there’s not much to say about a floor mat. Well, there is when you’re talking about this one. I took it out of the box and stepped on it, and said I want shoes made out of this material. You just step into a luxurious mat that just cushions your feet. I like the color, it matches my kitchen very nicely. I just ordered another mat a while back for the kitchen, and thought it was nice. Nope, this at is far more superior to the other one. Move over old mat, this new one is going in front of the kitchen sink. I mean, this is tempur-pedic. When I'm on my feet for hours at a time, my back/knees start to hurt. Thanks to this Temper-pedic mat, my pain is gone! It's amazing how much it's helped!
