    • Little Hands, Big Colors – So Worth It!
Number of Items: 12
Review Image by Maricar
Okay, let me tell you, finding things to keep a two-year-old entertained and contained is a superpower. These paint sticks…they’re pretty close. Honestly, I was a little skeptical, but wow. It's been a lifesaver for quiet afternoons, and when my husband is working on his cars in the garage and I need to keep her busy. He’s even used them to sketch out ideas for a food presentation he was planning – says they’re surprisingly good for quick doodles! I was drawn to the idea of less mess, and it really delivers. The biggest thing for me is the clean up. Seriously, it washes right off her hands and even off the table, which is a miracle. She loves the bright colors and the way they glide onto the paper. It's a really smooth application, and she’s figuring out how to blend them together which is adorable. We’ve been using them on all sorts of paper, cardboard boxes…even a little on some rocks she found in the yard. I also really like that they're pretty chunky. Her little hands can grip them easily, and she doesn’t get frustrated trying to hold a thin crayon or brush. It means she can actually be creative and focus on the painting instead of fighting with the tool. It’s been great for projects around the house – decorating cards, doodling, projects and more. Now, they're not magic. If you leave them on a surface for a long time, it can be a bit harder to get off. But honestly, for the amount of fun she’s having and the reduced stress for me, it's totally worth it. We’ve also got two sisters who adore art, and they love using them when they come to visit. All in all, these paint sticks are a fantastic option for anyone with little artists. It’s a simple, affordable way to encourage creativity without the usual paint-related chaos. It’s a great value and something that we’ll definitely be repurchasing when these ones run out! Seriously, they make a little mess, but I am still recommending these paint sticks. ... show more

    • Successful Comparison to brand name product (Kwik Stix)
Number of Items: 12
Review Image by Sunshine Mama
I am in the elementary art school teacher and I wanted to know how the Tompen tempera paint sticks compared to the brand name Kwik Stix. So here’s just my quick review. First of all, the Kwik Stix brand is obviously more expensive and so that’s why I’m trying the Tompen brand. You can see from the picture that they have the same colors, but the colors individually do differ from that of the brand name. It is especially noticeable with the red, violet, and greens. The dark blue is also not as dark as the brand-name version However, with this slight difference, the consistency is extremely simila and offers a nice creamy writing, painting experience. You can easily blend the colors next to each other. It also must be mentioned that the Tompen version also dries to the touch within 90 seconds which I think is a great feature. Kwik Stix are about $12-15 a set Tompen are about $7-8 a set Takeaway: even though several of the colors are not as rich as the brand name, I would purchase the Tom pen versions for my classroom because budgeting is an issue. If I have large groups working on projects then it makes sense to get the less expensive version considering, that on their own, the colors represent the hues that I am looking to use. It is only when directly compared (side by side) to the brand name that they don’t quite measure up. ... show more

    • Adds Fun Element to Coloring

Review Image by On the Moon
Paint sticks are awesome! I wish they had these when I was a kid. For kids that aren’t especially into coloring, these paint sticks up the fun by allowing kids to color very boldly, brightly, and smoothly on paper. The colors apply with such ease, it’s the closest to painting without actually having to use water. The sticks look like little glue sticks, with twisting and turning the bottom to “open” and “close” the sticks. ... show more

Tempera Paint Sticks for Kids & Artists 12 Color,Non-Toxic, Quick Drying, Classic Rainbow Colors, Washable Solid Paint Crayons, Ideal for School Classroom Art Projects & DIY Crafts Impression: This appeared to be a good set of colors. All of the basic 6 colors plus extra shades of blue & green, there is also white, pink, black and brown. The color sticks are a decent size, shown in my photo with a common soda can for size comparison. These have not yet become an art piece yet, but I am looking forward to trying them out as soon as I have more time. If our art turns out well, we will upload another photo including our art! These paint sticks are contained nicely and don't appear that they will be messy to use, The facet that these are non-toxic is a great advantage, if you are considering using these with kids. Value: At the asking price of $9.99 when ordered, this seemed like a good value to me. ... show more

    • Colorful, adaptable, and beloved by children!

We decided to invest in these Tempera Paint Sticks not just for ourselves, but also for our grandchildren to engage them in imaginative activities during the summer—and they have been a valuable addition to our collection of art materials! The hues are vivid, striking, and dry quickly, making them ideal for young ones (and preventing major spills!). We have applied them on a variety of surfaces such as poster boards, plaster, concrete, and cardboard, and they have excelled on each one. They glide on effortlessly and offer excellent coverage. What we particularly appreciate is their flexibility—our grandchildren take pleasure in using the sticks as they are, while we have experimented with using paintbrushes to blend the colors and create intricate designs. This opens up numerous artistic opportunities! The only drawback is that the caps can be a bit challenging to take off, especially for younger children. Nonetheless, these paint sticks have delivered countless hours of joy and innovation for individuals of all ages in our home. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking a tidy, user-friendly art material! ... show more

    • Masterpieces Without the Mess? Say Less. 🎨✨🙌🏾
Number of Items: 12
These TOMPEN tempera paint sticks? Baby, they’re the reason craft time doesn't turn into clean-up bootcamp. Sometimes we just want to make art without pulling out the tarps, water cups, brushes, and my “don’t get that on the couch” voice. This is that solution. They go on smooth like a crayon, dry fast like magic, and the colors are bold and bright enough to feel like real paint. No dripping. No splatter. No sad brushes stiff with forgotten paint water. My daughter loves them. I love them more. She’s creating rainbows, unicorns, galaxies, and full-on art shows. And when she’s done? Cap goes on. Done. That’s it. No wet paper towels, no paint in her hair, no drama. If you're trying to keep the creativity without sacrificing your sanity, grab these. It’s giving paint. It’s giving freedom. And it’s giving zero mess on my good rug. ... show more
