The Temco cable is what could be considered super flex in relation to cable. This cable consists of fine strands of copper with a thick outer jacket. While great for welding cable it also is great for Solar, Automotive, RV and other project applications where a high quality flexible cable is necessary.

TEMCO 4/0 AWG and is made from 1950 strands of 30 AWG wire. Very nice quality durable solid copper cables. The cable is highly flexible which makes it easy to install. Working well in my setup. No over heating issues or concerns.

Great quality cables I used to upgrade my alternator cable to battery, battery to starter cable and battery to engine block cable in my jeep. You will need a heavy duty cable cutter to cut these guys. Used a fresh razor blade to cut the insulation when terminating.

conductor material is high quality, the price is hard to beat, and if you are wanting a cable that is flexible/maneuverable this style of welding cable is what you need. How flexible is it? Well the order of 15ft of 2 ga both red/black came all coiled up similar to a coil springs appearance, it was no wider than my hand in diameter and about 9" tall! again that was for the combo of red/black, so 2, 2 AWG 15' cables can be wound up in a circle with a diameter of less than 6 inches! If you need something more flexible than that well I don't even want to know what you are attempting to do 😂 As many are likely buying for battery cables, there is no turns you could come across that this couldn't navigate! This will also make for great jumper cables, as the flexibility means it will store away in a much smaller profile than many of the store bought cables. I am likely going to make some this winter, as my old cables have always been a complete hassle to store neatly, and those don't have nearly the capacity as this cable would! If I can come up with a con, it would be(maybe) the insulation is very soft and pliable, feels great, but I would be hesitant to leave the cables naked, as it feel like they could chafe easily in a automotive enviroment. I don't know that they actually would, just more of a feeling. Since I was also going to be running this near the engine, the slightly lower heat rating than SGX Battery cable was also on my mind. this shouldn't have any issue with the majority of cases, I just always have the prepare for the worst mindset.. so I covered the cable with Insultherm sleeving to give it great abrasion resistance and heat protection, and then over that used red colored expandable braid so that it it added a bit of visual appearance as well as should help draw attention to its location as I rerouted cables through areas that would not be as common, and in the unlikely event that a shop ends up doing some work on my vehicle, this should help to avoid any accidental damage due to not being easily visible. is this necessary?... no probably not, but I like to do things in an OCD meticulous type manner, the added protection is peace of mind, and look great too!
