was exactly 25 feet. when cut appeared to be 100% copper. fine strands. sheithing was soft and flexable. ohmed full 25ft before cutting and if i recall came to .0025 ohms. used to rewire charging circuit on a 80s chevy. very satisfied plan to buy again in the future for other projects. seems to hold up in the negative temps

This is not a sponsored review, but I am compelled to contribute a positive review for this product, and provide positive feedback for TEMCO, as a company. TEMCO's 4/0 cable is one of the better, if not the best, battery/welding cables that I have used! It is made of pure copper and while nearly impossible to count the number of strands of conductors, it appears to have the appropriate number of conductors for its rated ampacity. I have used this cable in a solar project at my personal residence, specifically to terminate the connection between the battery banks and the bus bar. The cables have been in use for just a bit over 6 months carrying currents up to 300 amps with 100% reliability. The construction of the cables are sturdy, yet flexible enough to maneuver inside the battery rack and junction box. And while there are other high quality brands of battery/welding cables to choose from, TEMCO stands behind their product and will issue a full refund, to include shipping costs both ways, up to 1 year from purchase. The high quality nature of the product combined with this level of commitment to their products made it an easy decision to choose this battery/welding cable from TEMCO. For many hardware and hardware accessory needs, I will first look to TEMCO to see if they have the product, before considering other brands. Other TEMCO products that I own and use include their lug crimper tool, 10AWG solar cables, MC4 connectors, MC4 spanner tools, battery lugs, butt splice connectors, and cable stripper bushings - all of which have worked flawlessly. I definitely recommend TEMCO as a brand, and can personally attest to their product quality, for the products that I listed above.

I have learned when try to get a quality product on amazon you may get something not quite up to par for the task you want to use it for. I took a chance on this company, try to get a quality cable sometime, it is not easy. When you are working with solar panels, trust me the quality of the materials will come into play and waste your investment. Kilowatts are not cheap with solar and if your infrastructure is poor you are gonna suck not matter how expensive the controllers, panels or inverters are. I bought a 50 foot roll and when I picked it up I smiled, yes you can feel the weight difference with cheap or lousy quality control, worse yet you get copper cladded aluminum. The roll had good weight, next I rolled it out and felt the insulation, excellent thickness and flexibility. I very confident using this product for outside and inside work for the power loads. It is not the cheapest but I will only have to run it once and not replace it. I bought a second roll too...LOL
