Description

Promising condenser-like performance, the Telefunken M80 dynamic microphone lets you set a new standard for high-quality live performances. Unlike the midrange-heavy tone of many popular handheld mics, the M80 employs a low-mass capsule and ultra-thin membrane to capture every nuance of your performance with amazing balance and detail. And you'll get great results anywhere you go thanks to the custom-wound impedance-matching transformer. You don't need an expensive condenser mic to get studio-quality sound on stage - you need the Telefunken M80. Telefunken M80 Dynamic Handheld Microphone at a Glance: Specially-designed capsule gives the mic a wide, balanced response Remarkably consistent sound no matter what you're plugging into Clear, detailed sound is perfect for vocals or instruments Specially-designed capsule gives the mic a wide, balanced response Telefunken designed the M80's head and capsule to reduce the proximity effect created by the supercardioid polar pattern. That means your vocals won't get boomy

  • Working man’s mic
My go to mic. Never song into some crappy club mic again. Sounds excellent.

  • Great mic at a decent price
I've used the M80 for both vocals and acoustic guitar and it is by far one of my favorite mics. One of the vocalists said after using it that that was the first time she'd ever gone home from a gig and didn't feel a little hoarse. I could tell from the mix position that the vocalists felt a lot more comfortable in front of them. The quality of the mic gave them that extra bit of confidence to sing exceptionally. For the acoustic guitar I tested a number of mics including the Audix OM6 and the Shure SM57 and this one beat both of those. It had great presence and a nice round bass response without being over-bearing at all. ... show more

  • Wide Vocal Range…No Problem
I’ve always used a 58 Beta for the last 22 years of my music career. As a frontman who sings 100% of our set, I’ve been interested in trying a new mic. After a lot of research I decided to give the M80 a try and I am so happy I did. I have a wide vocal range, so towards the end of the night after hearing every Journey high note come through crystal clear. It’s so much fun to follow it up with some Johnny Cash and get to showcase my deeper range with so much more clarity than my Beta. I’ll always have fond feelings for that Shure 58 Beta…but I believe I’ve in love with the M80. I’ll just keep the Beta in my bag as my side piece. Lol ... show more

  • Sounds good for softer vocals for the type of mic it is it is comparable to my shure 58
Sounds good I like it

  • Excellent vocal mic
I own an audio company with all high end equipment. Compared to a Shure Sm58, B58 or KSM9 this mic is far superior in it's solid sound and stability when being used in a large speaker system. I'm going to make these a standard item in my stock.

  • comparable to any condensor mic on the market
excellent lows, minimal proximatey effect and incredible mids and highs not to mention great feedback rejection. I would put this on par with the shure beta 87a with a more cotrolled proximatey effect and better feedback rejection.

  • Worth it
Great tone, little feedback.
