Description

This unique and versatile tool does what other clamps can't, holding things like smooth-surfaced round pipes, rebar and threaded rods, and almost any other shape you can find. Wrap the chain around workpiece, hook through nearest link, then squeeze handle to lock. When finished, unlock with the one- touch quick release lever. It operates easily, even with gloves on. A chrome plated finish protects from rust and corrosion.

Equal grip strength to same size pipe wrench using a 1/2 inch pipe for testing. This chain wrench is less likely to dig in and damage the surface. The chain wrench gripped just as hard with no slipping on the pipe. Very happy.

Got this chain clamp while completing a full timing belt service on my 1999 Honda Accord LX Coupe (2.3L VTEC YO!), which involved replacing the cam and crank seals. This tool worked perfectly for this application; it was an excellent, inexpensive option, and I have ZERO complaints. Excellent tool. Well made , and a life saver . I had to remove an oil filter that was trashed after I tried many other things . I was able to get the chain around it and get a good grip . This tool is very handy to get a solid grip in areas with little or no room for a traditional wrench or pipe wrench or other . It was to be used once , but I liked it so much that it’s now a permanent resident in my tool case. Improvement : I would have liked an anti slip rubber on the handles like the high quality lock wrenches . It would make a difference when applying a lot of torque . ... show more

    • Clean the oil and you got a good tool.
Only complaint was the tool was pretty saturated with oil when I got it, but that was easily cleaned and this is a fantastic tool for a great price.
