I use these in my fitness classes and I noticed if the overhead fan is blowing then I have to tape down the agility ladder for it to stay in place. I am sure it would be more secure on a turf or carpet. folding it up is pretty easy, however when you go to undo it, it gets tangled and I use the bag they give you to store it.

Overall, I like this agility ladder. My 14 yr old daughter uses is several times a week. It is easy to pack and transport. The problem with it being so light is that it will fold up into a mess fairly easily if your cleat catches a rung or side strap during the exercise. On natural turf, this problem can be reduced by using a few garden spikes on each end to hold it to the ground. Of course, as your agility improves, this will become less of a problem anyway as you'll catch the rungs less during your exercise.
