Description

A shell-shocking saga of mutants, martial arts, New York mayhem, comic book grit, practical effects wizardry and pizza-fuelled fun.A shell-shocking saga of mutants, martial arts and New York mayhem, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy brought comic book grit, practical effects wizardry and pizza-fuelled fun to a generation of moviegoers, helping turn four sewer-dwelling brothers into global pop culture icons. Launching in 1990 with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, director Steve Barron's gritty, high-energy adaptation of the underground comic became a box office phenomenon, fusing martial arts action, streetwise humor and the groundbreaking animatronics of Jim Henson's Creature Shop. The 1991 sequel The Secret of the Ooze is an irresistibly fun second slice: a deep-dive into the turtles' origins where new mutant foes Tokka and Rahzar are thrown in the mix... double the stakes, double the pizza! Rounding out the trilogy, 1993's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III sends the heroes in a half shell back to feudal Japan in a time-travel adventure full of samurai showdowns, ancient legends and comic chaos. Restored in glorious 4K and packed with extras, this radical set celebrates the legacy of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael in one of the most iconic franchises of the era, blending innovative effects, comic-book heart and early '90s attitude.Bonus Materials4K ULTRA HD LIMITED EDITION CONTENTS4K (2160p) Ultra HD Blu-ray presentations in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) of all three filmsNew 4K restoration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the original 35mm negative by Arrow FilmsNew 4K restorations of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II & III from the original 35mm interpositives by Arrow FilmsOriginal lossless stereo audio and remixed Dolby Atmos surround audio for Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesOriginal lossless stereo audio and remixed DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround audio for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II & IIIBrand new director's commentaries for all three filmsBrand new cast and crew interviews for all three filmsPerfect bound collector’s booklet featuring new writing on the film by Simon Ward, John Torrani, and John WalshReversible sleeves featuring original and newly commissioned artwork by FloreyAnd more to be announced!FULL LIST OF EXTRAS TO BE ANNOUNCED ON SEPTEMBER 26TH!Cast & CrewActors: Robbie Rist Brian Tochi Corey Feldman Josh Pais Judith Hoag Elias Koteas James Saito Sam Rockwell Vanilla Ice Earthquake Kevin Nash David Warner Vivian Wu Stuart Wilson Susie EssmanDirector: Steve BarronDirector: Michael PressmanDirector: Stuart GillardProducer: Kevin EastmanProducer: Peter LairdProducer: Raymond ChowProducer: David Chan

  • Price may be justified
One person said it was overpriced, but in reality it brings it to a little over $33 a movie which for some 4k movies is average these days. I'm not a big fan of all the limited edition these days and the fear of missing out, but as a physical media collector myself, I think it's boarder line as far as cost goes. I feel the price is justified as long as its a good transfer and they put the work into it. Arrow video is not known for cheap releases so I'm not surprised. Of coarse I would have liked to see 50 or 60 dollars, but that's not realistic ... show more

  • should have offered singles as well
They should have released the trilogy in both singles and box set. Most people only want the first movie, while a few want the first and second movies. Next to nobody wants the third movie. The third movie was by far the weakest and most cheaply made movie that even with returning favorites couldnt save. ... show more

  • Finally 4k treatment
It's funny that people will go out of their way and vote this a 1 star due to the price. Don't buy it and just get blu rays then if you can't afford it. Finally these movies are getting 4k treatment, well the 3rd could do without it lol.

  • Good Enough Set; Currently Overpriced Due to Tariffs
Great box set, keeping in-mind that there's only so much you can do with older movies when upgrading to 4k. The picture doesn't appear to be a MAJOR upgrade from BD, but the sound is pretty amazing. As other reviewers have stated, yes, this set is substantially overpriced. Also, as ither reviewers have said (who bothered to think an extra level down the "rabbit hole"), the reasoning for this is the ongoing tariff playground games. Solid 4k OG TMNT trilogy set, nothing fancy, just ~$50 overpriced unless you can find a copy already in the US, like I did. ... show more

  • Great set!
This looks great! The other reviewers have no idea what the 4k looks like its not released yet. The 35th Anniversary movie thats in the theater isnt remastered in 4k. 5 stars for the bad reviews.

  • Way too overpriced!
I loved TMNT and TMNT 2. Part 3 was meh. As good as the movies are, this collection is nowhere near $100 good.

  • Review bombing before release is wrong
$99 is absolutely not absurd. That other review is plain wrong. You get 3 4K disc's plus Blu-ray copies as well. It'll absolutely be worth the price.

  • Boxset looks amazing, but TARIFFS are to blame for the high cost
YES this is overpriced, it’s only £49.99 in the UK so this is a good $50 over what it should be - BUT - what everyone’s ignoring is that Arrow are a UK company, which means to import this boxset to the United States means they get whacked with the presidents tariffs, so anyone upset with the price needs to direct their frustration at the tariffs and NOT at arrow, it’s not their fault ... show more
