Amazon needs to stop letting people review products ahead of release. It's a shame this gorgeous set has had its score dinged due to months'-old review-bombing loaded with outdated information. Especially the ridiculous reviews complaining about obviously incorrect original listing price. Anyone who is a physical media enthusiast knows that Amazon tends to list a high initial price before revealing the actual price when more information becomes available. It happens every time a set like this is released. You should never take a pre-order price as bible. Heck, this set's price dropped over 40% a few weeks ago and is now more than reasonable for a boutique 4K release. Anywho, onto the actual review... Let's cut to the chase-- if you love the 90s "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movies, this set is a must-own. From the excellent packaging to the slick new 4K restorations to the cavalcade of new content and bonus collectibles, for under $60, you are getting what may be the definitive collection of the original live-action trilogy. I haven't gone through everything yet, but the new 4K restorations are absolutely gorgeous from scanning through the movies, with a great level of detail, sharpness, grain and color that very much reminded me of the original's excellent theatrical re-release earlier this year. I will try to update this later once I've had time to watch all three films start-to-finish. Bonus content is very comprehensive, with (if I did my math correctly) ~3 hours of bonus interviews and featurettes, most of which were newly crafted for this set. Also included is brand-new audio commentary tracks for all three films, the alternative censored UK version of the original, alternate soundtracks, and alternate footage from the original workprint and South Korean versions of the first film. And then there's the fun stuff... 8 retro-style trading cards, stickers, a pizzeria business card, posters and even a nice collectible book with essays on the films. Really? How could I NOT give this 5 stars? Please ignore the nay-sayers and buy this set! It's 100% pure, unadulterated turtle-power! 5 out of 5 ... show more

This is a really great and well put together set. They put a lot of love into converting the original material into 4K HDR format. Though there is some grain, I am sure it's the best that could be done with such old material without losing details. It's kind of surreal watching a film recorded with analogue cameras and all the natural qualities that come with it in such high resolution and fidelity. The sound is very well mixed, too! The extras are awesome and I know there will always be something missing someone will complain about. But being realistic, I couldn't have asked for more! They even purposefully replicaded the card Error with Donatello as a reference to the old movie set! A must own for fans. Buy it now! ... show more

If you grew up in the late eighties or early 90s you know what this is all about. The teenage mutant ninja turtles were a phenomenon and these movies( at least the first 2) are absolute classics. These movies are amazing in 4k and they truly take me back to my childhood. Great package with phenomenal extras in the package. Wish there were a few more extras on the discs, but the picture and sound make up for the lack of features. IF you love the turtles, buy this set! I Love Being a Turtle! Turtles Power! ... show more

As a big turtles fan and movie fan, I have been waiting for this trilogy to drop on 4k. I wasn't disappointed. The box set is great, three movies with amazing picture and sound. This is a great set. The Picture Quality is good first movie is grainy. The Picture was taken from the film negative from 1989 (when movie was filmed) 2 and 3 great. Black levels or good 1st movie the darkest in terms of lighting. The 2nd and 3rd movies are brighter. The Audio is awesome. The extra Features are very good and the Highlight of the set. I have listened to the three director's audio commentaries in March 2026.They were very informative I am happy to say none of the discs freeze. Here is a list of the extras on each disc. This set is limited edition if I am not mistaken so It may be out of print.
