We just bought a Cadillac Coupe and installed an E&G Wire mesh custom gill, upper and lower on the vehicle, AND it looks fabulous! I wanted to cover the factory painted banding on the front of the Caddy that is between the license plate. After reading the reviews and having a great deal of experience in the film industry on set design thought I would give this a try. 1. The first and most important thing I did was to thoroughly clean and fill any pitting in the paint, which was minimal. Remove (ALL WAX)!! I started with Lacquer thinner, moved to alcohol and then cleaned with (HOT) soapy water and rinsed with HOT water for 3 or 4 minutes. Removed all dust with a painters tack rag (Available at amazon) or your local hardware motor and brick store. 2. Prepping the chrome vinyl by measuring and cutting a solid length and correct height was the next step. Once done... I measured to the center and cut out a vertical piece of the backing by bending and separating the backing as well, and cut a 1/2 vertical strip out of it. This leaved me with an open area of glue to center and position as well as pre stick the chrome vinyl (useful trick)! 3. I placed the chrome over the area and pressed firmly on the center glued backing to make it stick and stay in place. Check all alignment and make sure to lay it over the entire area to see if it will cover up to the trim points when in final detailing. Next I pulled a side up and reached behind to pull off the backing (but did not over bend or stressed the vinyl) as I as well used a large 6" felt padded vinyl tool to smooth out the chrome and remove the air bubbles. The trick is to do this on a warm sunny day and not over stretch the film while working it... 4. Once I got the left side done, i repeated the step on the right side. Do not remove the protective clear coating while you are working through these steps. Now here is a very secret step to making it look like factory chrome. Mix a spray bottle of warm water and place 1/2 to 1oz of dish soap in a 16oz bottle. Spray the soap solution on the chrome with the protective coating still attached. Make sure the surface is as soapy and slick as possible as this will provide a lot of smooth glide while you use a flexible vinyl form tool to press the chrome vinyl in place. This will get you the best kind of seal on the glued side. Rinse with clear water and dry for 30 minutes. Now carefully use a hobby knife that has a very sharp point on the end. 5. Find a place at a corner that you can gently lift off the protective coating and remove it. Now for the results! It looks like it was built into the body of the Cadillac! Looks 100% factory and is as shinny as the other chrome (real) parts on the front. If you want to have a professional film company install protective film over the chrome then you now have something to do that will further protect it's finish. Final thoughts... Hope this helps... and as for the negative reviews on this product... They don't know how to use vinyl and they should not attempt trying to do this at all... Try it on a small piece of something and you will like the method I just told you about. Knowing the steps needed to make it look good and stay on for many years takes some practice and patience. Having never worked with this material before took me 2 times to do the front grill acceptably. The tail gate I got the first time. This product is very nice looking, i decided to try a new brand when it came to my car wraps. Big mistake, i should have just stuck w vivid, this product is so hard to take off, the laminate gets stuck on the car and on top of that, it pulled up some of my paint, so now i have to pay to get that fixed. This is all that product has going for it, is that it looks nice. I would just buy from vivid again, i’ve never had problems w removing the wrap nor installing the wrap. this wrap was so difficult to install always, i will not be buying again ... show more

I bought this for use in a resin curing chamber I 3D printed. All in all it will serve my purposes just fine. I am not sure if it is just the material I stick it too. Reading reviews it sounds like maybe after some time it will fully adhere to the pla material. But I did notice a slight issue with it sticking to what I applied it too. Ultimately its stuck enough that it will do what I want it to do. If I notice an issue with it the adhesion ill update later. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I think that anyone who has posted a review saying this doesn’t work must not being doing it right. User error doesn’t mean the product is bad! This was my first time wrapping and I am thrilled with the result! I will say it was a little hard to get the hang of it but after some YouTube videos, I think it came out well! Just make sure you take off the clear plastic on top. It’s extremely reflective so I’ve had a little trouble with it blinding me while driving but otherwise, 10/10! Love it. ... show more
