This is a great little doodleboard - easy to use, very lightweight, a lock button and a tethered drawing stylus. It works great, and erases when the yellow central button is pressed. It included an extra battery and a small screwdriver to use to get the battery compartment open. It does take a bit of finagling to get the screwdriver seated on the screw head, but it does fit. One thing to take note of regarding unscrewing the screw to the battery compartment: sometimes when a screw is super small, the screw will have a block or a stop on the end of it so it doesn’t come out of the top all the way (which is great because you can’t lose it!). That’s NOT the case here. That tiny little screw comes all the way out and becomes loose when unscrewed, so when it comes time to change the battery, it might be a good idea to take the top off the battery compartment while sitting at a table and holding the doodle board over a towel to catch the screw…just in case! I do like this, but… *Under “Why won’t my doodle board clear the screen?” troubleshooting section on the enclosed card, number (2) said “The user manual’s instructions can be used…” Unfortunately, though, there is no user manual. *I’m thankful for the black rubbery tether that attaches the stylus but it’s just a tad too short. The tether attaches to the “butt” end of the stylus but the stylus can only slid into its holder (which is on the opposite corner of the doodle board) point-first. Consequently, you have to stretch the tether out a little bit in order to get the stylus turned around and slid into place. *The two packs of little stickers are so cute and, presumably, are geared mostly towards little boys (yes, yes, I know little girls like cars and trucks too!). But, I just don’t understand their purpose being included with this doodle board. I mean, as a mom, I wouldn’t want my kid to put stickers all over the screen, right? Sure, they could go on the back, but I think it would be just a little too tempting for little kids to stick them on the screen and maybe add them to their transient artwork. But stickers are very transient, are they? 😁 ... show more

I bought this mainly to doodle ideas and sketches. Nothing permanent. It has saved me a lot of wasting paper or losing paper. This is not my first tablet. The pen tip is pointer than other tablets. It is something to consider if you are buying it for very young children. However, the sharper tips means you can doodle in more details so this is a plus for me. Obviously it is not super sharp, but probably the same sharpness as the Apple Pencil. The pen can be stowed away on the top. You just slide the pen clip into the tablet. It is not really a clip which is good because nothing will snap off. The pen is as light as it can be. It is sized perfectly for children and adults. The pen and tablet do have holes for you to tether. I am not sure if it comes with a string or not, but that option is available. The inside functionality is basically the same as all tablets of this kind. You can write, but not erase. There is one button to clear the entire screen. There is a lock switch to prevent the tablet from clearing, but you can't prevent it from writing. The lock is pretty useful if you are holding the tablet from the bottom and don't want to accidentally hit the clear button, but the button clicks when you press on it and it's perfectly pressured. It is great for sketching diagrams, practicing math problems, or practicing by repetition. I like this design because the sides are thin, but you can still hold it on the side without touching the screen. The tablet barely weighs anything, maybe as much a small wallet. ... show more
