I’ve been using the TECHO Magnetic Pilot Kneeboard for iPad and tablets, and I have to say—it’s seriously impressive. From the moment I unboxed it, the quality felt solid. The magnetic hold is far stronger than I anticipated; once your tablet is attached, it stays put without sliding or shifting, which is huge whether you’re navigating in a cockpit, using it in a vehicle, or even just going hands-free at home. The strap system is another highlight. It’s comfortable and secure on your knee, and it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. The way it distributes weight makes longer sessions much easier on your leg, and it stays stable without constant adjustments. The design also allows you to position your tablet at a functional, easy-to-read angle, which is incredibly convenient. On top of that, the kneeboard works with a variety of tablet sizes, so it’s versatile enough for multiple devices. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be the Velcro strap length. Right now, it works perfectly for knee use, but if you want to use it creatively—like attaching it to other objects or mounting it in different setups—a slightly longer Velcro strap would make it much more versatile. That’s really the only minor quibble I have. Overall, this kneeboard is practical, well-built, and reliable. It has a strong grip, secure attachment, and thoughtful design, making it perfect for pilots, drivers, or anyone needing hands-free tablet use. Received this product today and was very happy with how it felt on my thigh. It came with two magnets which was easy to mount to my iPad case. The quality of the magnet was amazing and the strap is very comfortable. I look forward to wearing this on my next flight. The only reason it did not receive five stars is because the magnet works too well and is a little tricky to remove once connected to the leg strap. ... show more

I ordered this TECHO Magnetic Kneeboard for my son, who is a private pilot working toward his commercial license. On his cross-country flights, having a stable surface for a tablet is essential for navigation and logs. This device has been the perfect solution. Performance in the Cockpit: The leg strap is comfortable and secure, keeping the tablet right where he needs it on his thigh without shifting. It’s a great minimalist alternative to bulky traditional kneeboards. He is very happy with it and plans to use it regularly on cross-country flights. Device Compatibility: The magnetic hold is very strong. As you can see in the photo I’ve uploaded, it holds his Google Pixel 10 Pro XL (a large phone!) with no problem at all. It feels sturdy and reliable, even for a device of that size. Multi-Use Versatility: One of the best things about this holder is that it isn't just for flying. The media could not be loaded. This is a strong magnetic phone holder that keeps my Plus sized iPhone in place! It is a slick way to hold your phone securely, when you are in a seated or reclined position, especially if you are in that position for long periods of time. It’ll hold your phone in place and will not allow it to slide off onto the floor, ground, or wherever phones disappear to. We have many acres of land. During the Spring, Summer, and Fall months, I mow slightly more than 6 acres of lawn (with lots of trees & obstacles) with a JD Zero Turn mower, every week. This task takes several hours - all in a seated position. In the distant past, I kept my iPhone in my pocket, but after it slid out of my pocket and onto the frame of the mower a couple times, I quit that practice. Then I kept it in the cup holder, but after it was snagged & dragged out of the cup holder by branches & bushes close to the mower, I quit that practice. Currently, I keep in in the pocket on the back side of the seat. It is secure back there, but that location forces me to stop the mower every hour or so (sometimes more frequently) to check to see if I missed any calls or received any urgent messages. I can't see the screen light up, hear the phone ring, or feel it vibrate through the seat cushion. Now that I have this Kneeboard Holder, I am SO EXCITED!!! I will have a safe & secure place for my phone (strapped to my thigh) plus I’ll be able to check my phone for texts, calls, notifications, etc. quickly & easily! When an incoming call or text arrives (and my screen lights up & my phone vibrates), I will be able to see it immediately and choose whether to just ignore it and keep on mowing OR stop the mower & answer/respond. Woo Hoo!!! This is going to be awesome!!! Highlights: - This magnetic pilot kneeboard is lightweight, but sturdy. It is not bulky. - It is well designed and well-made from quality materials. - The magnet is STRONG! It is much stronger than my “magnetic phone grip stand with elastic loop”. Every time that I detach my phone form the kneeboard holder, that magnet releases before this one does. When lawn mowing, due to the strong vibration of the mower, I will remove my “magnetic phone loop” and attach my MagSafe phone case directly to this kneeboard holder. This kneeboard magnet is strong enough to absorb the heavy vibrations. - The soft, wide elastic strap is comfortable to the leg and can accommodate multiple thigh sizes. It is also strong & sturdy. The Velcro grips the band tightly and will not release easily. - The phone holder is multi-angle adjustable (as shown in attached video clip). You just need to tighten the knob to keep your phone in your desired position. - The price is great based upon the security & protection my phone will receive in this holder! - As an added bonus, an extra metal ring is provided for those devices that are not MagSafe. I am VERY EXCITED to use this holder while mowing the lawn. It’s the answer to my prayers. I highly recommend!!! ... show more

The mag strength for this holder is not very strong, I don’t know if it’s because the knee strap won’t stay in place and that’s why it keeps falling off. Good concept, bad design. Not worth the value of the money.

Magnetic kneeboard for ipad and tablets works as directed. However, because it is equipped with an extendable elastic band, it can be used anywhere the band streatches and fits.
