I was inspired by Barry B's review picture of the wooden headed tool holder he made. As I don't have a machine shop and chunks of steel lying around So I made up a similar tool to replace the harbor freight install bar (which I could not get to work). Got to use it yesterday on my sons car that has 19" wheels. It did take 2 of us to use it, but it worked great! Thanks Barry :) Just made up a cheaper, easier to make tool support for the duck bill head - adding photos ... show more

Look at my picture attachment. I change my suv tires size 265 70 16 with ease. Make sure to brush with tire paste on the bead, duck head, and iron so it slips right in. This attachment on my setup is the easiest to change tires. Don’t do the attachment on the handle bar. It’s going to give you more trouble. Just do what I did. I have seen where people added a welded pipe, but being a woodworker, I added a block. Tip - get the angle right and then drill the leading bolt location. I've installed 8 tires very easily and removed 4 just as easy. BTW, it's on a Harbor Freight tire changer designed for 16", but I've only dismounted and mounted 17". ... show more
