    • Magnetic Latch Failed

The latch to close this case is magnetic, but it came apart on one side. I tried to fix it, but it didn't stay. Since I couldn't keep this case closed, I took my phone out of the case, and subsequently dropped it, breaking the screen.

The case is similar to other Tech 21 cases: very durable. Some of the buttons do require a slightly firmer "push" compared with the Evo Check. And about the magnet closure: yes, it was defective. The magnet did fall out within the first 2 days of use (I actually bought this same case from the manufacturer's website thinking some 3rd parties may have been selling a knock-off: nope, same thing happened to that one and I returned). The magnet required fixation with some Gorilla super glue and has stayed in place and functioning ever since. I rate the case so high since the price is so affordable compared to the retail price of nearly $50 for one with a cover and the main complaint was easily fixed. ... show more

I love these cases more than anything, but failed to realize (my fault) that the magnetic closure doesn't work if you've purchased the ceramic version of the phone.

Case is good, but it doesn't close properly. The magnetic closing cover is very weak. The cover opens by itself when you hold it upside down and give it a good shake. I wouldn't recommend this case to anyone. The only positive about this case is that is is fairly thin and lightweight compared to other folio/wallet cases. ... show more
